About Koh Yao Noi
Koh Yao Noi is an island paradise in southern Thailand. It is home to around 4000 inhabitants who are thought to be recent migrants from the Malay Peninsula.

Most of the people on Koh Yao Noi make their living with the islands natural resources. Some work in the rubber plantations. Thailand is the biggest producer of natural rubber in the world.
The local fishermen go fishing in their traditional wooden longtail boats. The fisherman here preserve their traditional small scale sustainable fishing practices.
The main industries on the island are rubber plantations and fishing, rice farming and some fruit, palm and coconut plantations.
Koh Yao Noi offers a stunning landscape with hills, secluded beaches, extensive mangrove forests, extraordinary flora and fauna and is the perfect backdrop for relaxation.

The island is easily reached by speedboat (30 min) from Phuket or Krabi, where international airports are situated.
