Maria Nikola - Album 'Colors of the Harp'

In diesem Projekt geht´s um die Liebe zur Musik! Für mich ist es ein Herzensprojekt und ich hoffe, auch einigen von Euch mit meinen Harfenklängen eine Freude machen zu können ;)

Euch erwartet ein Album mit einer abwechslungsreichen Vielfalt an instrumentaler Harfenmusik. In meinem ersten Soloalbum möchte ich viele Facetten der keltischen Harfe hörbar machen, verschiedene Stile und Klangfarben – daher der Albumtitel „Colors of the Harp“. Die etwa zehn Stücke sind eine Auswahl aus meinem Live-Programm, halb Traditionals, halb eigene Instrumentalstücke. Zum einen habe ich also ein paar meiner Lieblings-Folktunes aus Irland und der Bretagne arrangiert und als Ausgangspunkt für eigene Melodien verwendet. Zum anderen habe ich aus Ideen, die beim Improvisieren entstanden sind, eigene Instrumentalstücke entwickelt. Und so unterschiedlich wie diese Improvisationsideen waren, so sind auch die Stücke verschieden: von verträumt, romantisch, über fließend, impressionistisch, bis zu moderner, rhythmisch, bewegt – lasst Euch überraschen :)

Eine Albumproduktion ist ein arbeitsintensiver Weg, für den es viel Liebe zur Musik, Durchhaltevermögen und Mut braucht. Zugleich freue ich mich sehr auf das Ergebnis. Das Projekt bedeutet mir sehr viel – und das möchte ich nun mit Euch teilen. Ich möchte Euch einladen zum musikalischen Träumen :)

Viele Stücke sind bereits eingespielt, ein kleiner Teil ist im Herbst noch zu erledigen. Das Album wird also gegen Ende 2023 fertig sein. Es gibt also auch schon Höreindrücke: kurze Ausschnitte findet Ihr im Video, längere auf meiner Homepage (https://maria-nikola.de/musik/)

This project is about the love of music! For me it is a project of the heart and I hope to make some of you happy with my harp sounds ;)

You can expect an album with a varied variety of instrumental harp music. In my first solo album I want to make many facets of the Celtic harp audible, different styles and timbres - hence the album title "Colors of the Harp". The ten or so pieces are a selection from my live programme, half traditionals, half my own instrumental pieces. So on the one hand I have arranged a few of my favourite folktunes from Ireland and Brittany and used them as a starting point for my own melodies. On the other hand, I developed my own instrumental pieces from ideas that arose during improvisation. And as different as these improvisation ideas were, so are the pieces: from dreamy, romantic, to flowing, impressionistic, to modern, rhythmic, moving - let yourself be surprised :)

An album production is a labour-intensive path that requires a lot of love for music, stamina and courage. At the same time, I am very much looking forward to the result. The project means a lot to me - and I would like to share this with you. I would like to invite you to dream musically :)

Many pieces have already been recorded, a small part is still to be done in autumn. So the album will be finished towards the end of 2023. So there are already listening impressions: you can find short excerpts in the video, longer ones on my homepage (https://maria-nikola.de/musik/).

Zielgruppe sind alle Musikliebhaber und Musikliebhaberinnen, alle Freundinnen und Freunde der Harfenmusik. Wenn ihr gerne Harfenmusik hört, wenn Ihr es vielleicht später streamen oder als CD kaufen würdet, dann freue ich mich schon jetzt über Eure Unterstützung :)

Ziel ist zunächst die Refinanzierung der Studio-Kosten, die ich momentan noch alleine trage. Auch hoffe ich, das CD-Projekt bei Euch bekannt zu machen ;) Auch möchte ich durch das Crowdfunding einen ersten Eindruck von der Nachfrage bekommen. Je nachdem wie es läuft, werde ich weitere Schritte einfach oder auch aufwendiger gestalten können (z.B. Design, Anzahl der gepressten CDs, Vermarktung, usw.)
Ich bin mit diesem CD-Projekt Solokünstlerin, organisiere alles selbst, mit viel learning by doing, ohne Team im Hintergrund. Ich hoffe nun, Euch als Crowd und Unterstützer-Team zu gewinnen :)

The target group is all music lovers, all friends of harp music. If you like to listen to harp music, if you would like to stream it later or buy it as a CD, then I am already happy about your support :)

The aim is first of all to refinance the studio costs, which I am currently still bearing on my own. I also hope to make the CD project known to you ;) I also want to get a first impression of the demand through crowdfunding. Depending on how it goes, I will be able to make further steps simple or more elaborate (e.g. design, number of CDs pressed, marketing, etc.).
I am a solo artist with this CD project, organising everything myself, with a lot of learning by doing, without a team in the background. I now hope to win you as a crowd and supporter team :)

Wenn Ihr Harfenmusik mögt und vielleicht später streamen oder als CD kaufen würdet – dann bestellt die Musik einfach schon jetzt ;) Jede vorab bestellte CD hilft mir, das Projekt gut umsetzen zu können.

Mit diesem, wie auch mit anderen Startnext-Projekten helft ihr mit, dass unsere Kulturlandschaft vielfältig bleibt. Ihr ermöglicht, dass auch noch unbekannte Künstlerinnen und Künstler eine Startchance bekommen. Musik ist heute günstig im Streaming verfügbar. Das ist einerseits wunderbar, weil wir alle Zugang zu so vielerlei Musik haben wie wohl nie zuvor. Zugleich stehen die Streamingpreise in keinerlei Verhältnis zu der vielen Liebesmüh und dem finanziellen Aufwand, den es braucht, bis eine Musikdatei fertig ist. Daher, nur mit viel Liebe zur Musik, vielleicht auch etwas Verrücktheit, nur mit viel Durchhaltevermögen und Mut kann ein Album-Projekt gelingen.

Wie schon bei den Zielen beschrieben, hoffe ich von dem Geld zunächst einmal die Studiokosten zu refinanzieren, die ich aktuell selbst trage. Mit einem ersten Ziel von etwa 1800€ wäre das erreicht.
Außerdem fließt Geld in die Pressung der CD, den 10% Anteil für die Nutzung von Startnext, das Design, usw. Je nachdem, wie das Crowdfunding läuft, werde ich diese Schritte einfach halten oder auch umfangreicher gestalten können. Ab einer Gesamtsumme und zweiten Ziel von etwa 2500€ wären die Basics abgedeckt. Alles darüber ermöglicht mir mehr Spielraum in der Gestaltung und dann irgendwann vielleicht auch einen Gewinn aus meiner musikalischen Arbeit ;)

As already described in the goals, I hope to use the money to refinance the studio costs that I currently bear myself. With a first goal of about 1800€, that would be achieved.
In addition, money will go towards the pressing of the CD, the 10% share for the use of Startnext, the design, and so on. Depending on how the crowdfunding goes, I will be able to keep these steps simple or make them more extensive. Starting with a total amount and second goal of about 2500€, the basics would be covered. Anything above that will allow me more leeway in the design and then maybe someday a profit from my musical work ;)
