Mirna Bogdanovic Group - Debut Album Recording

I've dedicated my last year to discovering the role of a vocalist and vocal group within a modern jazz context. A singer not only being in front of a band, singing typical songs with lyrics, but also taking the role of an instrumentalist or a sideman, communicating through improvisation, singing crazy lines with the saxophone or experimenting with vocal effects.
I've ended up writing music for a band of 8 people: a vocal group of 3 singers, guitar, piano, bass, drums and alto saxophone. All of us are professional jazz musicians, active on the European jazz scene. The music is written and arranged by me and will be produced by Wanja Slavin, and recorded/mixed by Alex Killpartrick, two amazing artists, who've worked with some of my favourite bands.
The album recording will happen end of March at the RecPublica Studios in Poland, after coming directly from a tour in Slovenia and will afterwards be in the mixing/mastering process.
Because of the high costs of recording an album, and because we want it to be a high quality product, I am asking you to support this project, so that that we can make it happen!

What is crowdfunding?

If successful, the money raised from the campaign will go directly towards recording and producing the album. If my goal is not reached, you’ll get your money back.

It's for everyone that likes quality music with no rules and limitations from big labels and institutions.

So I'm applying for € 8,000, which will cover about two thirds of all of the expenses!
