Darum:
"Eva pulls no punches in the telling of her adventure. Her insightful commentary on our culture and politics causes me to beam with pride as she discovers the best that America has to offer, and alternately cringe when she exposes some of the more embarrassing aspects of our society.
Through this book we come to know quite a lot about Eva: her passions, her frailties, and her enthusiasm for exploring places unknown.
But in the process, we also learn quite a bit about ourselves. And of course, that is what makes this book exceptional."

Diese Frage lasse ich Gavin aus Virginia beantworten:
"I read Eva Strehler's book Hin und Weg in its original German version on the recommendation of a friend. I was hoping to improve my reading ability in the language and perhaps expand my vocabulary a bit. I did indeed accomplish that, but I got so much more.
Reading Eva's book about her experiences traveling across the U.S. by motorbike is like strapping on a helmet and tagging along with her as she and Josi (her bike) encounter the people and places that made the journey unique. We get to experience America through her eyes as she navigates the challenges of traveling alone and on the cheap without a fixed schedule or firm itinerary. The fascinating people she meets along the way, due to her open and friendly nature, and the surprising ease with which they confide in her, give Eva a perspective on our country which few travelers from outside the U.S. ever get to see.
And Eva pulls no punches in the telling of her adventure. Her insightful commentary on our culture and politics causes me to beam with pride as she discovers the best that America has to offer, and alternately cringe when she exposes some of the more embarrassing aspects of our society.

I absolutely loved reading Eva's story, and I wholeheartedly recommend Once upon a Bike, the English version of Eva's book, to readers in the U.S."
Wie funktioniert diese Sache hier eigentlich?
Wenn wir die 6.700 EUR erreichen, wird das Geld in die Übersetzung des Texts und den Druck der 1. Auflage investiert.
Das wäre dann wohl ich :-)
