I, Dominik Baer, aka BÄR, live for moments of adventure and amazement! The moments where you feel completely alive and you feel the magic from head to toe. My music and art is a channel for me to experience this magic and share it with you.
To be honest, I wasn’t always out to get into adventurous situations to spark that magic. You could say I was thrown in the deep end. I grew up in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Germany and Thailand. Since my parents work as development workers and missionaries I spent my youth in various places with diverse cultures. I narrowly escaped death on the Indus river, found the love of my life in Chiang Mai/Thailand, and finally settled down with her in a city that some of you are sure to know from its beautiful postcard motifs: Heidelberg. Heidelberg has now become our home and our family has grown to include our two exuberant sons, Vigo (4) and Siera (2).

In 2012 I released music for the first time with my album ‘’Pixels & Molecules.’’ In 2015 my cinematic-EP ‘’On Our Own’’ followed. Three years later I made a groundbreaking decision: I quit my job as a teacher and began a life as an independent, autonomous singer-songwriter and musician. Having been financed through my first crowdfunding campaign where my UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING supporters backed my idea with over 11,000 euro, I was able to release a total of 12 songs, 12 music videos, and 12 original paintings as additional art from my wife, fine artist Olive Green Anna, in 2018.

2021 brings me to my next chapter: MAGIC TEA! The absolutely amazing people I am working with on this will be introduced to you in a separate blog post.
