Giuliana Monina is researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights - Human Dignity and Public Security. She has completed her legal studies at the University of Bologna in Italy. Her main research interests are human rights, the prohibition and prevention of torture and ill-treatment, the rights of detainees especially in the context of immigration detention.
