Gözde Böcü is a Berlin-based photographer, writer and documentary filmmaker with German-Turkish roots. Having grown up between the Spree and the Bosporus, she studied politics and sociology at Berlin’s Humboldt University, Ankara’s Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi and at the University of Toronto in Canada. Besides her academic research that still continues, Gozde has worked as a journalist and photographer for both German and Turkish media outlets and has published several analysis on Turkey, democratization and the Middle East.
