Radio Revolten war das weltweit bisher größte Festival, das Kunst und Radio zu einer neuen Kunstgattung zusammenführte. 80 internationale Künstlerinnen und Künstler zeigten das ganze Spektrum der "Radiokunst" in Museen, auf der Bühne, im öffentlichen Raum, in einer Konferenz, in Workshops und auf einer temporären Festival-Radiofrequenz. 35 Radiostationen auf der ganzen Welt sendeten Teile des Festival-Radioprogramms. Das internationale Radiokunst Festival Radio Revolten wurde einen Monat lang von dem freien, nicht-kommerziellen Radio CORAX im Oktober 2016 in Halle ausgerichtet.

Radio as a multi-faceted art form was presented at the four-week festival Radio Revolten in October 2016 in Halle/Saale in Germany. 80 artists from 17 countries presented contemporary radio art in the form of installations, on air, performances, concerts, workshops and public interventions. 35 radio stations across the world relayed parts of the programme. So far Radio Revolten was the largest and most comprehensive festival of radio art held worldwide. Radio Revolten was hosted by the local, non-commercial Radio CORAX in Halle.
