TOMASI Suluape. is currently based in Freiburg, Germany.
Born in the Black Forest Mountains of Southern Germany/Offenburg in 1972, his love for art started developing at a young age. In his teens Tomasi apprenticed as a carpenter, learning traditional German woodcarving techniques, but something was missing, so after his education he chose to travel, following his passion for surf and following the ocean waves around Europe, Africa, South America, the West Indies, Asia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

It was during a longer stay in Trinidad, that Tomasi met fisherman Elton Pouchet who became his good friend and mentor, teaching him to read the ocean and draw inspiration from nature.
At this point he started immersing himself into different cultures, especially the art. In the year 1997 he became a student of The Abstract Art Accademy under his Mentor and Teacher Prof.H.c.-A.Thomas Stoeckl for Music, Literatur, Artsience and Philosophy.
His Examination was in 2007.He still meet his Mentor for exchange at present time.He learned from woodcarvers, instrument makers and painters from all over the world, but it was in the Tatau culture of Polynesia that he found his true purpose.
Tomasi became a member of the Sulu’ape family after being officially adopted by Sua Sulu’ape Petelo. He was introduced to the traditional Samoan art of tattooing by the brother of his dad, a renowned tufunga who trained him in the technique, tradition and the spirit of Samoan Tatau. Ten years after starting his travels tomasi suluape returned to Germany and the rest as they say is history.He found the first foundation for traditional Tattooing in Netherlands,

He is
A member of the Black Crack Sessions, the National Tattoo Association of America and the Pacific Tattoo Association of Australia, Tomasi has organized international tattoo events such as the 3rd Samoan Convention in memory of Sua Sulu’ape Paulo in Apia and the Paulo Sulu’ape tattoo awards. An international icon in the the tattoo industry, his work now reaches far beyond Tatau with various textile designs, custom projects, exhibits and even fashion.In 2019
Tomasi founded the TAT the traditional Tattoo Association for International traditional members off traditional tattoofamilys ,in different Styles and technics.
He was voted and exepted as The präsident oft he TAT from ist founders fort he first period of 6 years.
