Wie schon im Update vom 16.01 angekündigt, haben wir tatsächlich schon ein passendes Fahrzeug gekauft. Vielen Dank an euch alle für die Unterstützung!
Da das Auto aber bisher noch beim Verkäufer stand und wir es noch nicht in “unseren Händen” hatten, haben wir mit einem Post dazu gewartet. Man was ja nie, was noch alles passieren kann ;) Aber heute hat es Ralf aus Kempten zu sich nach Kleinwallstadt gebracht. Mit der Erstbesichtigung ist er also nun zum zweiten Mal hin und zurück gefahren. Vielen Dank Ralf, dein unermüdlicher Einsatz ist unglaublich!
Und das Beste ist, wir haben dieses Mal ein unglaubliches Schnäppchen gemacht. Das Auto hat uns nur 3.100€ gekostet. Es hat sicherlich damit zu tun, dass es schon über 450.000 km auf dem Buckel hat. Motor und Getriebe wurden aber nachgewiesenermaßen vor 150.000 km gewechselt, so dass wir hier auf der sicheren Seite sind.
Insgesamt sind bei uns bisher über 8500€ an Spenden eingegangen. Wir schauen deswegen vorsichtig nach einem zweiten Fahrzeug. Unter der Annahme, dass wir mit den Umbaumaßnahmen, etwaigen kleineren Reparaturen und Transportkosten bei ca. 4500€ für das erste Fahrzeug landen düften, ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit für noch so ein Schnäppchen in der verbleibenden Zeit bis Mitte Februar nicht sehr groß. Sollte es nicht klappen, so werden wir das Geld für andere benötigte Güter ausgeben. Wir loten gerade aus, was am dringendsten gebraucht wird.

As already announced in the update of 16.01, we have indeed already bought a suitable vehicle. Many thanks to all of you for your support!
However, as the car was still with the seller and we didn't have it in "our hands" yet, we waited with a post about it. You never know what might happen ;) But today Ralf brought it from Kempten to him in Kleinwallstadt. This is the second time he has driven there and back with the first inspection. Thank you Ralf, your tireless efforts are incredible!
And the best thing is, we got an incredible bargain this time. The car only cost us €3,100. It certainly has something to do with the fact that it already has over 450,000 km on the clock. However, the engine and gearbox were demonstrably replaced 150,000 km ago, so we are on the safe side here.
We have received a total of over €8500 in donations so far. We are therefore carefully looking for a second vehicle. Assuming that with the conversion work, any minor repairs and transportation costs, we should end up with around 4500€ for the first vehicle, the probability of finding another bargain in the remaining time until mid-February is not very high. If it doesn't work out, we will spend the money on other goods we need. We are currently sounding out what is most urgently needed.
