Project update and extended deadline
Dear Supporter,
Turning Tables has been busy in the last weeks promoting refugee integration, here is what we have been up to…
• Our cook-off event last Thursday in Munich was a great success. More than 30 people from 15 countries took part in a highly charged cooking competition that produced 5 star recipes with fusion dishes from Africa, India, Germany and Syria. Creating and designing dishes thanks to the rich cultural backgrounds, cooking knowledge and skills of attendees provided great moments of cultural understanding and cultural exchange throughout the night.
• We have written an article about refugee integration that has been featured in The Changer providing a snapshot of what role society, culture, mentoring and coaching can play in refugee integration. Check the article out here: http://thechanger.org/community/refugee-integration
• This weekend along with other Thrive projects we will be participating in the Heldenmarkt bio fair on Saturday 5th of March and the Expat in the City at the BMW Welt on 6th of March. If you are in Munich, we would like to invite you to come and meet us.
Finally, good news is that we will be extending the crowdfunder deadline till the 10th of April. We are working our hardest to promote our mission among supporters and fans in Munich and beyond, and as we are a new project in Munich we need more time to achieve this . Please help us reach our goal. Together for refugee integration!
Best,
The Turning Tables Team
INTEGRATION. FOOD. CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING.
