English Guidelines how to donate money for V3PO
Supporting a project
1. If you have found a project that you would like to support, usually you have two, at times three options. The most common options are to support a project with or without getting a reward. Sometimes you can even donate money, however, this depends on the legal status of the project’s initiator.
2. So, either you choose a reward and press the button "Jetzt unterstützen" (support the project now). Or you just type in the amount of money and press “Jetzt unterstützen”, without choosing a reward.
3. If you are already registered as a FAN you have to log in to continue but you can also register as a new FAN or you can donate as a guest.
4. Then, you enter your preferred payment method and confirm your support. As payment method you can choose between: Lastschrift (direct debit authorization), credit card, Sofortüberweisung (direct transfer) or Vorkasse (advance payment).
5. Furthermore, in addition to your financial support you can also help to increase the awareness of the project in the public for example by recommending the project to people within your own networks (e.g. via Facebook and Twitter). On the project page and its blog you find updates to the project as well as stories related to it.
If the project is (un)successful
1. If the financial goal is achieved, the money is transferred to the project initiator who can now realize the project. By the way, crowdfunding projects can also be overfunded and the starter receives the total amount of money.
2. The project starter will provide you with information on when you receive your reward. Usually the reward is given to the supporter while the starter is putting
3. If the project does not reach its financial goal, the money is returned to the supporters. Donations are explicitly excluded from this rule: Donations are irrevocably donated to the initiator.
