SolarSoundSystem Berlin

SolarSoundSystem combines 100% renewable clean energy with good music !
We create funky participatory parties only relying on two sources of clean energy : the sun and your muscles ! By staying totally off-the-grid, we can power turntables and powerful speakers to spread sound over more than 500 persons. As long as you pedal, the music goes on and on !

Our collective includes artists, engineers, designer and Djs from all over the world, all connected through the love of music (all styles!) and working for a more sustainable world.

Today, we developed our special sound systems run by non-profit NGO in several countries including Switzerland, France, Spain and now Germany !

This decentralized NGO organisation also allows us to collect funds for solidarity projects to promote culture in fuel poverty or devasted areas. Since 1999, We developed and launched projects in Haiti, Brazil, Cameroun and India; and we are still working on more !

Moreover, to connect all these Solar Sound Systems and artist communities beyond frontiers, we launched the first webradio powered by solar energy : Radio.SolarSoundSystem.org
This channel broadcast only good music 24/7, with no advertisement and some special live shows.
The Berlin launching party will be live streamed on the radio. Save the dates of 29th and 30rd April and 1st of May ! No matter where you are, stay with us on the sound dimension !

With the collected funds we want to offer to the Berlin public its own SolarSoundSystem, and to create by the way good fun for all music fans from 5 up to 99 years (or over !).
The goal of the project is to build a mobile and totally Off-Grid DJ booth that runs exclusively on renewable energy (human and solar).
The 3S events are dedicated to the largest public, including parents and their children. Being active in producing the energy for our SoundSystem allows to easily explain more about energy producing and how to save energy.

The System can be rented by festival organizers as well as by private persons for their special private events.
Just imagine how fun it would be to invite your friends and ask them to cycle for getting the party's music ?!? Believe us, they will never forget !

In the public space, we believe in the use of music as a social link to spread the message of a better use of renewable energy. We want to bring a concrete answer and a real demonstration : it is here, it is working, this is the future of parties and society ! The system can also be used for educational purpose and to raise energy understanding in schools or other kinds of trainings.

Supporting the 3S is also supporting an international network of artists and becoming yourself the coolest eco-friendly person around :)

Reaching the Funding threshold, we would have to rent some equipment at each event whereas reaching the funding goal, we could buy all the equipment necessary directly.
