For printing our album AQUARIUM as compact disc.
BaroqueBitches have dedicated themselves to crossover art. In 2015 they started singing opera on the streets and have come a long way since then. Through festivals (2nd place at Freisprung Theater Festival 2018), beatboxing collaborations, baroque masterclasses, chanson and many cabaret theaters, they finally came to PoetrySlam. Co-founder Claudia started to write texts for BaroqueBitches in poetry slam style. That very special rhythm of speech was combined with the musically unique style of BaroqueBitches. From classical to jazz to rock, everything was possible. It soon became clear to Claudia Roick and Nicole Tschaikin: a crossover album was absolutely nessecary. They wanted to create a concept album about topics that really interest them: women's stories and their mythical relation in society. A revenge on mermaiding, environmental policy and closed societies.
In 2019, BaroqueBitches recorded twelve new interpretations of songs and own recitations at Pirate Studios Berlin.
With AQUARIUM, the BaroqueBitches have found a new language that is even more oriented towards crossover. Last but not least, this album is the cornerstone on which the musical theater play AQUARIUM could grow.
AQUARIUM will have its premiere in Greifswald on 25th of September 2021 and will then go on tour.
The music album is intended to accompany the theater piece and thus be made accessible to all visiters. From November 2021, the album will also be available online.
BaroqueBitches want to bring art to places and listeners who are afraid of high culture. They trust their wild mix of classical, rock, folk and jazz, their rhythmic lyrics and their desire for spontaneity to cast a spell over young, old and other people.
At a time when real live experiences are rare, it has become all the more important to press this charm and this wild passion for art onto a record and make it accessible to everyone via online streaming.
Anyone who is afraid of classical music, theater or poetry slams should definitely buy this album. BaroqueBitches mercilessly pour every genre into the high-performance mixer. And this shake has it all!
In these current times it is particularly difficult for theater professionals to do their job. The ongoing work ban is a threat to the very existence of the artists. Therefore possibilities of audio production are all the more important, in order to help actors, singers and musicians, despite everything, to a means of expression and to generate some turnover.
If you support our project, you will help us to improve our financial security, as we will then continuously sell our album and generate income.
Last but not least, you help make it possible that in AUQARIUM we tell stories that are not told so often in mainstream.
Curious? Then give us your money. <3

The performance duo "BaroqueBitches" emerged on the street. In the late spring of 2015, Nicole Tschaikin and Claudia Roick decided to give it a try. The singers felt that opera singing should reach people for real. They created the BaroqueBitches: always a bit over the top and never too serious.
In this way, the BaroqueBitches have conquered Salzburg, Venice, Rome, Schwerin or Landshut in beautiful Bavaria. They performed on the streets, on boats, on trains and on the most beautiful bridges. They were also increasingly show acts at festivals (HorsLits Paris 2017, HorsLits Munich 2016 and 2018, street music festivals Ludwigsburg and Braunschweig 2017), in bars (Klunkerkranich Berlin 2015, SOMA ArtGallery 2017) and clubs. They collaborate with baroque ensembles (Ljubljana, Slovenia 2015), beatboxers (Lia Sahin, Hamburg), pianists (Benjamin Saupe), accordionists (Dennis Weijers and Friedrich Bassarak) and are always looking for new crossover adventures both theatrically and musically. Her shows "BaroqueBitches On The Road" (awarded 2nd place at the Freisprung Theatre Festival 2018) and "Dans le Cabaret" also brought them to Paris, Munich, Berlin, Rostock, Greifswald, the Ludorf and Vogelsang castles and many others.
The vocation of the artists is to bring drama and music theater to new places in an unusual way and thus to win a diverse audience. Whether theater, festival or refugee camp, whether bar or bathtub.
In 2020 BaroqueBitches have formed a collaboration. They work with a wide variety of artists from northern and southern Germany as well as artists from all over the world.
