The BaroqueBitches want their own show! After months and years on the little stages and big streets these special divas feel ready to expand, because: also a BaroqueBitch likes development.
With great passion the BaroqueBitches now work on a full evening show which should also fit into one little travel luggage. Why? Because this show will be played in every possible or impossible venue.
In "Time Travel Bitches - BaroqueBitches on the Road" you will experience hazardous time travels through all imaginable baroque universes and listen to breathtaking opera duets - all wrapped up in plenty amounts of tulle and corsage as well as some jokes and tears. The BaroqueBitches will fight, make up and do, whatever else a BaroqueBitch does.
A surely not so baroque accordion will be joining them alongside many other instrumental surprises.
Our goal is to bring opera to most uncommon places and all kind of people. If refugee camp or restaurant, bar or bathtub - we reach out to an unusual opera audience and give them the possibility to experience classical music without pressure and etiquette.
We want to truly get in contact with people of any age or cultural background and enable them to see, that music is being made together with and not merely in front of an audience.
To make this show possible, the BaroqueBitches have to rehearse intensely and organize just as much.
This is a lot of work and naturally requires some money.
Of course we are tirelessly performing on the streets to support our goal. Still we depend on your help!
Your money will make it possible for us to pay our fantastic accordion player, to afford all the train tickets needed (because the BaroqueBitches live in Berlin and Munich), to buy as much tulle as possible in order to properly dress a BaroqueBitch and to implement all those little details into our performance which give life to a music theater show.
Your help will make it possible that the BaroqueBitches continue to exist!
For us, literally every cent counts - quite in the spirit of street music. :-)
In case of a successful financing - because of your help - all crowdfunding income will be used for our show! From musician to advertisement there are quite a lot of sections to to be covered:
1) Salary for the accordion player (actually worth a million): aprox. 260 Euros
2) Flowers for friendship services (because without friends there would be no BaroqueBitches): aprox. 100 €
3) Costumes and props (Tulle, tulle, tulle): aprox. 200 €
4) Travel costs (not everyone lives in Berlin): aprox. 100 €
5) CD material costs (so you will be able to take home the BaroqueBitches after the concert - 100% selfmade): aprox. 50 €
6) Advertisement (from buisness card to BaroqueBitches bags): aprox. 320 €
7) Emergency coins (because things always happen differently): aprox. 100 €
8) Percentages (because also a crowdfunding platform needs financial scope)
What happens in case of exceeding the crowdfunding goal?
In the case of you showering the BaroqueBitches with gold, the money exceeding the crowdfunding goal will go directly into the glorious future of these divas! Concerts and tours throughout Europe are in the planning as well as the production of an all inclusive, fully professional BaroqueBitches album, printed out in good old fashion CD format!
The baroque performance duo "BaroqueBitches" was originally created on the streets. In late spring 2015, Nicole Tschaikin and Claudia Roick decided to just try their luck. After studies at the music academy, master classes, smaller and bigger performances, the singers thought, that opera should reach people without safety borders. That was the keyword to make any street to be their stage.
With neon tulle, baroque wigs and white, painted faces Claudia and Nicole created the BaroqueBitches. Baroque and Bitch - that was meant to be together: always a bit over the top and surely never too serious. ;-)
In this way the BaroqueBitches already conquered Berlin, Munich, Paris, Salzburg, Venice, Rome, Schwerin in northern Germany or Landshut in Bavaria. They perform on streets, boats, trains and on the most beautiful bridges.
Increasingly the Bitches become show acts in bars (Berlin), clubs (Munich) and festivals (Hors Lits). They collaborate with baroque ensembles (Lubljana, Slovenia) and always look for new crossover adventures.
More about Claudia: Claudia Roick studied singing in Rostock (northern Germany) and Jerusalem (Israel). She was the prize winner of various international competitions and sang Musetta at "Classic Open Air Berlin". She is a returning artist at festival "Opernale", where she also had her Pamina debut in 2016. Claudia frequently gives recitals from classical art song to German chanson of the 20ies. Her musical roots where grown through the violin which she started learning at age seven. Furthermore Claudia started dancing Flamenco when she was a teenager which even brought her to teach Sevillanas workshops in northern Germany.
