If you have ever had the chance to listen to any classical theremin playing before, you might know that the repertoire for theremin and piano is extremely limited. We would like to give the instrument a chance to enter the "big stage" in the classical music world and, moreover, to change the way the instrument is quite often seen by the audience - as a funny effect machine producing squeaky creaky sounds.
For the CD, we would like to record two of Christopher's Sonatas (one of them is the first Sonata that has ever been written for these instruments) and other newly composed classical pieces.
Who is the project for? Anyone who loves music with theremin and/or classical music! :)
Support us if you like our music. Or if you need a new T-shirt.
We will use the money to pay the rent for the recording venue, the sound engineer, the graphic designer, the piano tuner, the production plant and everyone else who will be involved in making this record.
Of course, the realization of this CD costs more than the project goal (3800,-). Therefore, we greatly appreciate any help!
We, Carolina and Christopher, love to make music. Carolina has played the theremin since the age of 7 and, ever since, has performed many concerts around the world. Christopher is a professional tonmeister and composer.
We have been performing together since 2013, after an introduction on the theremin Carolina held for young composers at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Leipzig, Germany.
