With 4000€ we can guarantee transport to Ireland, as well as accommodation for our cast and crew. We will be able to shoot the film in Ireland.
According to studies, 70% of all women worldwide are victims of sexual violence in partnerships. Since #metoo many of them finally dare to speak out and talk about their experiences.
Certainly, there are women in your circle of friends, that experienced something similar. But why do we still not talk about this problem? Because WE, as a society, still consider sexual violence in partnerships, as well as its consequences as a taboo.
Just as we do with abortion.
Close to Nothing at All will adress both topics, as an unwanted pregnancy is often a consequence of sexual abuse. With this project we want to show, what challenges and hardships women face and that abortion is never an easy decision. No matter how the child was conceived.
We want to produce a short film, that takes up taboo topics like abortion, gender inequality and sexual abuse in partnerships - topics that matter to women all around the world. Women, we want to give a voice with this film.
This film will not push women into the role of the victim. Its goal is to show their journey to strong, confident women free of social constraints.
If YOU think that the abortion debate is too shallow, as it only focuses on the act of abortion itself and not on the many affected women behind that difficult decision, then help us and become part of this project.
A project that is supposed to dig deeper into the common arguments of the ProChoice movement, as it gives insight on the challenging process that leads to the decision to abort.
With your financial help we can not only pay for transportation and accommodation in Ireland but also for equipment, insurances and location. With your help we can make the most authentic film, in our dream location west of Dublin.
Our Crew consists mainly of students from the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg, who stand behind this project with all their heart.
