Crowdfunding since 2010

For "Hold On", 6 women artists (dancers, choreographer, film maker, singer, designer) will work together to bring their sexual fantasies on stage.

We are a team of female professional artists all based in Germany creating together a stage performance. We are all very different. We look different, we speak different languages, use different artistic forms to express our ideas, we think differently. But we have a common wish : being free in our body and mind. Not being ashamed to be sexual because we are women. Therefore, we will work on a performance combining Dance, Video, Design and Music around the topic of Female Sexual Fantasies.

What is this project all about?

This project is about freedom, about love, about art. This project is about giving an other gaze on women's sexuality : a female gaze.

This project is a dance performance around the topic of Sexual fantasies.
We will have our Premiere on the 8th of November in Tanzfaktur Cologne. The 9th we perform in the same space and we will host after the performance a discussion around the topic of sexual liberation of women moderated by the journalist and author Dr. Mithu Melanie Sanyal. On the 10th of November, I will give a free dance workshop before the performance for everyone to experience our way of working and our approach on the topic of women's sexual fantasies.

We will as well perform this piece on the 13th and 14th of December 2019 in Tanzhaus NRW Düsseldorf. And hopefully in many other places around the world!

This is not a sex performance! it is a contemporary performance where sexual fantasy is a imaginative starting point to create artistic material (music, dances movements, experimental movie...)

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

This project is about showing younger generations, older generations, men, women, intersexual people, transgender people that sexual fantasies are not only the one that we can see in mainstream porn.
We want to show the female body as a place of feeling, of strength, of fun and of self acceptance.

Why would you support this project?

Supporting this project means supporting artists at the beginning of their career that decided to take risks. Young artists that are willing to bring a topic that is not easy to talk about on stage, a topic that is not visible enough : female sexual pleasure and sexual imagination.

This performance will be my fist full-evening performance as a choreographer. I did many choreographies before but this is my first big production, by that I mean it is the first time I will pay people to work for me, the first time I ask for public and private funds on my name.

We do have a great support from our co-producer Tanzhaus NRW Düsseldorf and we got fundings from the city of Cologne and the Kunststiftung NRW.
Sadly the all costs of the project are not entirely covered yet, therefore I need your help to be able to pay the artist working on it fairly.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

This crowd funding money is only a part of the overall budget to create this art project. Indeed, including myself, 12 professionals will be directly payed by the money of the project:
Three dancers, one singer, one film maker, one costume designer, one production- and press manager, two photographers, one graphic designer, one light technician, one expert for the audience talk, one DJ for the premier party...and more.

3.300,- is the money missing in the budget for the project to be realized..

If we achieve the 4.500,- , I will then be able to pay the amazing women helping me for their work: a stage designer, a film maker.

Who are the people behind the project?
