Daniel Axt: Production Debut-EP

The plan is to release my debut EP including 5 of my own songs and a music video. EP stands for “extended player”, which is sort of a ‘mini-album’ – a short CD. I wrote these songs during my two years apprenticeship/training in NYC. Now I'd like to publish and share them with you in all their beauty. The music is acoustic pop rock in English inspired by John Mayer, Jason Mraz but also Johannes Oerding, a German artist.

Since I don’t have a recording contract yet I’m choosing this way to finance the project. Fortunately enough, I’ve already got an excellent band and found a great producer, who are going to play and work with me in the studio. For one song there will be an unplugged version and a music video as well. We have started recording that already. After recording we start making the CD.

If this project works out with your support, I will be able to release the CD before the summer of 2014. And, of course, I will present the debut CD live at a release concert.

The goal is to finish producing and publishing the CD in order to release it in the spring of 2014. For the purpose of a great sound I need to record it professionally, so that maybe I can even convince a record label. But, of course, that will cost some money, for example for the musicians (e-guitar, bass, drums, keyboard) who support me, plus the rent for the studio, for mixing the songs and finally producing the CDs.

Well, maybe you have seen and heard me live in concert and you like my music. If you haven’t, you might be curious about what my music sounds like. Or maybe you just want to support me on my way as an artist. That way you’d be very close to the project because, of course, I would inform you about everything that’s happening in the studio and afterwards. Or possibly, you liked me in the Disney movie “Rock It!” and want to support me.

We could cover most of the expenses for recording, the post production of the songs and the music video and the production of the CD. And this is my promise: Every Euro we get on top of our budget will go into planning and organizing a concert tour of my EP and the recording of more songs for the first complete album!
