We are building Kassel's new (sub) cultural location at the Kulturbahnhof and need your support.
Kassel's cultural freedom has been rare for years, and there are hardly any extensions or plans for that. All creators of culture are affected by this development, but musicians in particular are seldom given the framework that satisfies them and their art through the scarcity of suitable stages.

We decided with dasfranzulrich not to let this development happen. Instead, we want to create the environment ourselves, which we need as cultural creators.
For this reason, the bands Mykket Morton and Call us Janis are building dasfranzulrich in cooperation with interstage.org. Established culture-creating institutions (such as Klangkeller e.V., Zwischendeck and Tape e.V) act as advisors or as active helpers.
The heart of the project is a function room for up to 100 guests, where everyone can perform all kinds of events - from concerts to regular café operations, everything is possible. Everybody is invited to join the franzulrich and to create a new cultural home in Kassel with ideas and zest for action.
A place that was missing in Kassel so far!

Our target group are those who are not only interested in culture, but who are currently missing a place to pursue their personal project or who just want to talk to like-minded people. dasfranzulrich is to become a second home where cultural workers meet, exchange ideas, inspire and support each other.

In concrete terms, we plan the following among other:

- Performances by local newcomers and established artists
- live sessions, studio sessions or concerts with audio and video recordings
- readings and various cabaret events
- Music lessons for guitar, bass and drums
- Studio recording with or without staff
- Mixing and mastering
- Advice and support for questions regarding gema, label, phonogram production, etc.
- Support in the realization of the first own publication for musicians

Kassel has produced a remarkable amount of respectable artists in recent years. Nevertheless, there is an increasing lack of places where the foundation for the development of art can be laid. In the past, we had to take note of the closure of many (sub-) cultural spots in the city.
With dasfranzulrich we want to counteract this development independently. If you want that as well, you can support us here with just a few clicks!

dasfranzulrich is literally built on the shell. This means that the money invested in this project will flow very specifically into the following acquisitions and construction measures:

- Heating optimization and stove for comfortable sitting together. The stove also heats up the heating water for the other rooms. Ingenious thing!
- Thermal insulation and decoupled sound insulation in the event room and stage area
- Acoustic optimization of rehearsal rooms and function rooms
- We build a stage
- With a system for the top sound
- With great stage light
- And mixer place
- Soundproof ventilation in every room
- Burglar alarm on windows and doors
- Radiators and pipes, extra power supply for each room, separation of light, equipment, mixing consoles and PCs
- Network and Internet in every room
- Kitchen equipment. Sanitary facilities with a barrier-free toilet
- and a small bar
- Fire safety report. Structural engineer. Heating engineers. Electrician. Building Department. Pay bills.

What has already been done from own funds?
The band rooms and the studio are acoustically and thermally insulated, most of the power cables are laid, the soundproofed ventilation elements are manufactured and installed and the stove is set.
