What is this project all about?
The record ‚Dunkelgold‘ is the debut album of my band ‚Drejs Quintet‘.
Our music ranges between Jazz, Hip-Hop and Trip-Hop. After several years of work on the compositions, I’m incredibly happy to record my first album with Simon Quinn (contrabass, synthesizer), Hanno Stick (drums), Johanna Bernard (violin, Clavinet) and Max Klaas (percussion) at one of Berlin’s best analogue studios.

What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The goal is to create a top-quality sound and publish an awesome record. Music, that leads the people to nod their heads along its groove, inspires their minds and fills their hearts with love.
Music, that works as well for the Fusion Festival as for the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Music, that addresses the people who like to listen close without being subjected to intellectual overextension.
Why would you support this project?
Music is made by humans for humans.
It’s important that the music will be received appropriately and that it is going to be available for as many people as possible.
Just as all my co-musicians, I’m working intensively and for long times on my musical skills. With this ensemble I created a thrilling band and our sound needs to be brought into the world.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
Records of high quality, the mastering and design etc. cost money. To me it is important to be able to indemnify everybody who joined me in working on this project. With the crowd funding money I can finance most of the expenses but would still pay some items with my own money. Covered would be the following costs:
