What is this project all about?

Eurovercity is much more than just a festival. Of course fun, music, party and a great time with unforgettable moments will be a main focus as well. However, Eurovercity goes even further. It will build a platform and common ground for young, dedicated and open-minded people to connect, to exchange ideas and opinions and to set a mark against recent social developments and for our common European values: peace, freedom and solidarity.

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

We started this project because nationalism, discrimination and a deep misunderstanding between European neighbors are not just past phenomena but recent emerging problems.
The motivation behind the festival, especially in times of Brexit or conflicts in Ukraine for instance, to make our vision of a united Europe visible and filled with life.

We want to approach everyone who stands for a peaceful, solidary Europe and is sharing our common values: solidarity instead of discrimination, better together instead of against each other.

We want to think further our European idea.
For us, Europe represents a common cultural area which we all have to defend in times of rising right-wing populism and racism. Our generation grew up with countless possibilities and liberties. Without much barriers we can travel from the Mediterranean Sea to North Cape, from the Atlantic all the way to the Black Sea, without borders or travel bans. It´s not been like this ever since. Our European history showed us, where nationalism, racial thinking and discrimination can lead.
Anyone can become a part of Eurovercity, fill it with life and creative ideas and contribute to a colourful festival city that represents our whole European diversity.

We together for a solidary Europe!

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

The money will be used to cover part of the costs incurred by planning, organization and execution of this festival. With this money we jointly can organize a broad program and a big variety of workshops, exhibitions and speakers.

Who are the people behind the project?

Our team consists of many different people: students of different courses, MBA´s and an engineer. This results in many differentiated points of view and expertise we can use to start projects like this. On top of that our team includes over 30 years of experience in the field of event management. So a part of our team also runs one of the oldest, still active student clubs in Germany: Turm Halle.
We founded Eurovercity e.V. to advance our project and everyone can become part of it.
Furthermore we already could win a strong partner who is implementing and organizing the logistical challenges. So all together we are a strong team to create Eurovercity!
