Crowdfunding since 2010

This is a game for those times between festivals. Fast Floorward brings an open-air atmosphere to the kitchen table. Nostalgic flashbacks guaranteed!

In Fast Floorward, up to six players groove across the dancefloor and other festival spaces. Chat about glow sticks and urinals and collect as many emotion points as possible. The decisive factor is the strategic use of festival-typical items and a certain amount of teamwork and luck. We would like to produce the game on environmentally friendly materials, for adults and without the constraints of publishers. This funding would make that possible.

What is this project all about?

For many of us, summer nights within the flow of music are among the most beautiful and intense experiences ever. In a four-year development phase, we have transferred the experience of countless festival moments to a modular card game board with innumerable of game cards. The result is an expandable game that lets you review your favorite festivals and encourages discussion and reminiscence, as well as creationg your own, new festical moments.

Here is a little insight into the game move. It consits of three phases.
1.Planning phase
The active player decides which action he/she wants to play.
To do this, the person selects the appropriate action card from the game area and moves his/her own token to the appropriate place (indicated on the action card).
2.Participation Phase
Now the passive players are called upon. They can - if possible - participate in the action.
The information on the action card (location of the action, how many possible participants, number of emotion points to be achieved and matching items) is checked.
Each player chooses a suitable motivation card and places it face down in the center. Everyone moves to the indicated location.
3)Action Phase
Now the active player can place motivation cards face down in the middle to achieve the required amount of motivation points.
Then the active player draws an event card.
This can possibly change the success condition.
All cards are turned over, points are tallied, discussions
regarding matching or mismatching items begin. The fun begins!
Depending on success or failure, motivation cards and motivation points are drawn or given away.
It is the next person's turn.

Quote from an enthusiastic test player: "This was fun! Whenever you do a test game again. Tell me. I would like to play it again!"

Why would you support this project?

Fast Floorward is a project of the heart that we have been working on (sometimes more and sometimes less intensively) for almost 4 years now. After numerous revised game concepts and design ideas, educative as well as extremely fun test rounds with family, friends and enthusiasts, we are sure: Something great and special has been created, which we would like to share with a wide community.

Experiences at festivals, like festivals themselves, are often not PG. Conventional game publishers are not willing to authentically address wild topics like partying and sex, but also sensitive topics like trash, assault or consumption. Therefore, the game can only become a realistic reflection of modern festivals through in-house production. The production should be done on environmentally friendly materials, unfortunately there is also no room in the budget for this in a conventional game production.
In addition, we would like to support the struggling festival and club culture with a donation as part of this crowdfunding. The very first games can be purchased directly here!

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

Our main goal: The professional prints of the game with production costs and final graphics of the game elements.

We will also donate € 3 for every playset sold to Reclaim Club Culture to support the cultural scene. The sale of additional prints should enable further editions and expansions of the game in the future.

Who are the people behind the project?

We - Aenias, Gerrit, Ludwig, Svenja and Basti - are a team of festival veterans and game lovers. We are as diverse as the festivals themselves, working in the social sector, as cook, strategist and designer. We are united by our love for festivals and board games. None of us wants to get rich with this, it is a project of the heart that we do alongside our professional jobs for the love of the cause.

Our goal is to give something back, from all the highlights and great moments that the festival community and the boardgame scene have given us over the years. We want to share our experiences and gain new ones and help ourselves and the whole community through festival free times.
