Crowdfunding since 2010

a seasonal guide to cooking and sustainable living

Organized by season, with a corresponding photo as inspiration for every recipe, Grow to Gather provides appealing recipes and ideas for everyday use. This book not only gives us delicious meals to sustain our bodies, but also teaches us the best foods to cook, when to use them, and why. Throughout all four seasons, cooking and photographing in real-time during the year 2020, I will explore the different growing seasons, harvesting and shopping in accordance with what mother earth has to offer.

Hello Dear Readers,

Many of you have been contacting me about the status of my seasonal cookbook, Grow to Gather, and its progress. Thank you so much for your interest! I of course wish it would have been finished and in your hands by now, but unfortunately it is not. So here is a little update as well as digital gift !

At first I was really impatient and frustrated that’s its progress had slowed down at Christmastime and not picked up to the speed I was expecting, but I have come to realize that this is not a bad thing, but rather a good one! It is just another lesson for me to learn. This is a lesson which I tend to repeat often, and is it is not to rush things. I often get so excited … With my thoughts, with my words, with my projects … That I sometimes do not let them develop and take the time that they need for full completion. And these days, I have a lot of time on my hands, so it has been an extra test!

And in this case, with Grow to Gather, although all the recipes and photographs have been complete since early January, the proofreading, and design work ( which is the portion that involves the most time and the most eyes ) has taken more time that I would have liked. And this, I have come to realize is normal. I have never produced anything with 200+ pages before. So it is completely normal that it takes 6+ weeks to read over and perfect to be exempt of errors. Especially when it is changing hands ( in the digital context of course ) so many times.

So, in order to give you back something while you patiently wait for your digital and hard copies, below are three, refreshing New Year/Spring Time recipes to liven up your February days. Some cooks and gardeners like to call February the hungry month, and I know why ! There is almost nothing fresh is season.

One recipe below is healthy one, one is salty one, and one is to liven and fresher up your home. They are all taken from the first chapter, Spring, of Grow to Gather. I know it is still February, but the weather here in Munich is getting warmer and sunnier, so my Spring fever is starting to hit! I hope these recipes help you with staying healthy and content, in this crazy world we find ourselves in.

Karen, Nicky & I are really looking forward to sharing this project with you. AGAIN, Thank you so much for your patience. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let me know. Stay tuned to my social media channels, links below, for all future updates and book delivery times!

Ps. If you still wish to purchase a copy of Grow to Gather, I have added an ONLINE SHOP to my website Here !

Thanks for reading.
Happy Monday,
Andrea
