Hatred Music-Video "War of Words"

For 17 years HATRED have been a self sustaining, self financing band. All material released in this time, has been funded through our live shows, merchandise sales, the support of great friends, family and fans, and of course, our own personal finances.

And with the release of the upcoming record WAR OF WORDS, it is no different.

We recorded the album independently, created the artwork and shirt designs, paid for shirt printing, professional mixing and mastering of the album, high quality CD manufacturing, and press pack releases for label interest and PR purposes.

All this is paid for using our band account, and from personal input from all members of HATRED.

As you can imagine, this leaves very little to support the production of the type of high calibre video we are hoping to create.

The positive points to being an independent band all lean towards artistic intent and practical control over performance, logistics and material output. The negative side is not having the power and connections that a fully label supported band are afforded in these circumstances.

We are more than happy, and capable to step up and handle the production of the video, but due to an overrun of costings towards an ass kicking album, we have fallen financially short of realising the final goal for this record.

So, why doing a music video?

Throughout our 17 year history, HATRED have been a constant presence within the European and international metal scene. From the back streets of Berlin, to the deserts of the middle east and the green Shores of Ireland, and with our fan base growing every year, we are often asked where we can be seen online, and to date, we have only been able to offer low quality or self shot content from live shows.

While this has been a great platform to expose ourselves through the voodoo of youtube, and other online media, we feel, given the right tools and support, we could offer a much more intense experience of HATRED's musicianship and give our fans a real taste of metal, even if they can't make the show!

All promoters and organizers will request a professional and current video to sell their live shows and tours. With so much great material available from many bands, a well produced video can really stand out for promotion purposes, giving the organisers and hardworking bands, the best chance for a great turnout.

Producing low quality videos can leave the viewer a little less motivated to see that particular act, than they maybe would for another band on the bill that had the ace up their sleeve, which is the band HATRED hope to be, we want you all!

It is a vital, and fantastic tool to promote our new record, which is some of our finest work so far, we are proud of what we have achieved, and want to give it the best exposure possible.

Its f**king time! We have wanted to do this for many years and finally feel we have the right record and the right track to make an awesome, intense metal video.

After almost two decades, we are absolutely ready and, with YOUR support, we can make it a reality.

The chosen song for the video is the Title track, WAR OF WORDS. We hope to create a very heavy, visually captivating music video, which our dedicated Moshcrew and thrashead fans old and new, will love to watch. And that transports the energy of our music to a wider audience, and gets their metal loving asses to the shows!

For what we want to achieve, there is a lot of hard work, and a lot of cost ahead. We don't want to create a typical video. We have been working tirelessly to build a story with a very dark and very heavy atmosphere, we want the viewers glued to the screen and totally captivated for those few minutes. So in preparation, we have:

Drawn up a fully detailed storyboard for every scene to be shot.

Sourced, and organised permission, for mind blowing shooting locations.

Created characters and fantastically scary zombie make up for the cast.

Organised all audio, video and lighting equipment required for filming.

A fully motivated, and professional crew that has the knowledge and experience to shoot and post produce the entire video.

Once again, all these things take a lot of capital to get from the pipeline into reality, and in order to do this we need your investment.
And we can absolutely promise you that 100 % of the money will be used for the production of the video.
