Venezia, sono qui ! – Week 5 / t-minus 2 days
It's been a week since my arrival and I'm still unsure if I can believe my senses. I am overwhelmed by kindness of every person that I meet.
Within 4 days I've been living in 2 different places that I can only recomment warm heartedly (Venice so Rooms in Mestre & Foresteria Valdese in Castello), moved in and out various times, had visits in different apartments and rooms, got lost in the streets without battery in my phone and had to speak in broken italian until I found my dream place in a beautiful house in the center of Lido di Venezia – la Casa Europa which consists of people from 6 nations who try to communicate in 7 different languages. This is where I will spent the 6 month to come.
After 2 days of taking the wrong vaporetto and being terribly late at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, which is the most amazing work place in the world!! I finally adjusted a tiny bit to the venetian speed and found my paths through Cannaregio, the historic part of the City of Venice.
Meanwhile I realized that 5 days early the first level of my funding was reached – and I'm still mind blown by that.
