We are 50 young ambitious musicians from Berlin who founded a new orchestra. Although we may not intend on becoming professional musicians, we offer high quality classical music for all to enjoy.
We aim to inspire those who may not be engaged in classical music and therefore have typically been an inaccessible audience. And so we aim to recruit new audiences via unconventional and modern channels. We are supported by members of the Berlin Philharmonic and similarly to the Philharmonic, our orchestra is based on democratic principles. Each musician has the opportunity to be involved in the decision-making processes concerning the functioning of the orchestra, for example the conductor is democratically elected.
Aurélien Bello is a young, ambitious conductor who has extensive experience with various orchestras including young musicians and creates a professional but yet friendly atmosphere. We intend to continue to work with young conductors in the future to create relationships that provide both parties with invaluable experiences.
Today we go one step further. With our Crowdfunding Campaign we aim to create a community that not just attends our concerts but also actively engages in the development of the orchestra for example, such as providing the community with direct insight into the mechanisms of our orchestra rehearsals and governance.
Our first official public appearance will be July 3rd 2015, where we will perform our very first concert.
We would love to celebrate the premiere performance of the Junge Kammerphilharmonie Berlin with you!
Our goals are
Target audience:
No, classical music is not bourgeois or old-fashioned! Supporting us means supporting young, ambitious musicians who are by pure enjoyment concerned with the preservation of the amazing heritage of classical music and who want to share their passion with a high quality among young people. You can become co-founders of our orchestra and be a part of us!
With your help we can organize and finance events that bring young musicians and young people together in order to pave the way for them to understand and appreciate classical music.

The founders of the project are Vinh-Nghi, Marisa, Max, Martin, Akira, Caro, and Tarek. We are all between 20 and 30 years old and we study or work in various fields like medicine, physics or engineering. The Junge Kammerphilharmonie Berlin is our common dream that we realize in our free time. For this we gained the support of members of the Berlin Philharmonic.
