Crowdfunding since 2010

The first Games Café of its kind in the wordl! An unprecedented social project!

This cross-generational cafe is a social project (similar to projects in youth and family clubs), concentrating on bringing generations – especially families, teenagers and seniors – together by playing board games. One of the key intentions of the games café is to integrate elderly people into the community. But it is also a place for passionate board game fans to indulge in their hobby and play challenging strategy games. To realise it, we need YOU!

What is this project all about?

These sessions, which are open to everyone, are one pillar of the project, the other being social workers who visit social facilities (retirement homes, institutions for people with special needs, kindergartens, schools, occupational rehabilitation centres, etc.) to play with the people on site and introduce them to the world of board games while fostering their abilities.

Help us with your donation!

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

Our cross-generational games café “Spielecafé der Generationen” aims at bringing families, teenagers and senior citizens together by playing board games. We want to create a meeting place for everyone. At the same time, we envisage to establish playing games in institutions such as schools and retirement homes. Educational staff will support the project with their expertise. To accomplish all that, we need you.
Be part of an unprecedented project and support us with your donation!

Why would you support this project?

“Playing is a common language uniting people who would never meet in real life.”

YOU can help to achieve our goal of improving the relationship between generations with the help of our open club and social work using board games.

YOUR support will help to bridge the gap between young and old, contributing to a better understanding between people.

YOUR donation will give children, teenagers and families a fun and useful alternative for spending their spare time.

YOUR contribution will help to create a meeting place for ALL people, irrespective of their religion, nationality or possible impairments.

YOUR help will enable us to create a place that allows us to preserve and promote the board game as a cultural asset.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

100% of every donation will go towards the goals laid down in our statutes.

If we reach our minimum target of €5,000:
The amount will be used as a financial basis that allows us to apply for further federal and state funds or foundations, and to hire qualified staff for the pedagogical work.
And we could manage the basic work for three years.

Why 136.214€?
In that case, we could create a full-time job without support by public subsidies for three years.

And what if we get money between both?
In that case, we could create jobs supported by public subsidies.
And we could also further games for our pedagogical work (educational games, games for visibly impaired people or persons with dementia, etc.), build a ramp to guarantee access for people with wheelchairs and employ a part-time accountant experienced with registered societies for three years - for exempel.

We would be delighted to receive donations WITHOUT rewards. For the time being, we have to pay the full tax rate on the value of the rewards. Thank you!

Your help is very valuable!
