Already since childhood we’ve been playing music together. After 10 exciting years, countless concerts, even more rehearsals and especially a lot of beautiful music, the time has come for our first CD! We have recorded your favourite pieces from our concert programmes, so you’ve been part of this project already for quite some time. Now things get real: With your help, we can take the final steps to publication and realise this dream together!

What is this project all about?

On this CD you will be able to hear true classics such as the Valses Poéticos by Enrique Granados and the Tango Suite by Astor Piazzolla. Furthermore, you will also experience the mind-blowing fusion of styles in the Sonata Fantasia by Dusan Bogdanovic. This album is especially personal because of the magical Dolly Suite by Gabriel Faure, which we transcribed ourselves for two guitars and tailored it exactly for us. We made sure to have a CD full of contrast!

The recording part is already done and the cover art was designed by a fantastic team from the Bauhaus University in Weimar. The album will be published with the label aureavox. As you can see, we are already close to our goal!

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

We want to share our music with all of you who accompanied us over the last 10 years and who overwhelmingly encouraged us to to take the plunge. Of course we also want to make this artistic statement available to even more people and we want to reach everyone who is as enthusiastic for this kind of music as we are.

Why would you support this project?

We put a lot of commitment and all of our enthusiasm into this CD, and we spared no effort to create a beautiful and high-quality selection of music for you. Besides all of that idealism we of course also need to cover the actual expenses. If you want to support us young musicians to take this important step, we invite you to become a part of this project for yourself.

The money will be allocated directly and completely into the completion of the CD.

Who are the people behind the project?

The Kaiser Schmidt Guitar Duo, which consists of Jessica Kaiser and Jakob Schmidt. Since childhood we are bound by our mutual passion for the guitar. Already as 13-year-olds, we were together on the stage and over the last years we studied together at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar. Concerts brought us to many places and even to Brazil.
