KAMA. Female Cycling Apparel

The project was born out of the need to find women-specific bike clothing that a) is oriented on high-performance cycling in terms of processing, cut and material composition and b) is made from sustainable materials.
Our hashtag #becauseitmatters stands for cycling apparel that meets the demands of women in racing cycling - whether for short, intensive or longer sessions on the bike:

• Special, women-specific bike pads for excellent protection, support and comfort, even if the ride lasts longer than usually
• Sustainable, lightweight, breathable and moisture-repellent materials made in Italy
• Processing of mesh for optimal temperature regulation
• Special arm and leg cuffs and high-end seams provide perfect support and protection against pressure points and tightness

We aim for developing a CORE Collection that consists of the most essential key pieces for a cycling season. Since women are not small versions of men, the complete adaption to the needs of the female body in motion is our focus.

Whether ambitious riders or those who want to become one - the fun begins and ends with comfort and protection on the saddle through adequate functional cycling apparel.

The network, which was built around our brand KAMA.Cycling consists of self-confident, ambitious cyclists. Conncerning our products, protection of environment and sustainable material have always played an important role to our strategy. Through product expansion we try to give female cyclists all over the world the attention and appreciation they deserve - on- and off-the-bike!
Since the production of an entire cycling clothing collection based on sustainable material is very cost-intensive, we are dependent on funding from the crowd.

We have set ourselves a specific crowdfunding goal of € 20.000. With this achievement we can produce the entire CORE Collection made from recycled functional materials in Italy. We can also fairly pay for the photo- and video material. Furthermore, we can also produce the remaining crowdfunding goodies in Europe.
We have calculated all our costs including tax and any fees. The level of our crowdfunding target is also influenced by the decision to produce the Core Collection exclusively from recycled polyester.

With the achievement of the second funding goal of € 30.000, we are expanding the CORE Collection by 2 items (a baselayer and a wind-west) to extend the season into the cold season.
