Every year huge areas of tropical rainforest are chopped down to make way for monoculture plantation and pasture.
Agroforestry could be a solution to regenerate deforested areas and transform them in fruitfull farmland at the same time.
We've already planted a foodforest on our land, now we want to support local farmers to do so as well.
Let's help them to get over the first period of implantation, untill the first harvest.
The foodforest on our land serves as a model to convince more and more farmers to work with agroforestry.
Maingoal of this crowdfunding is to do the first step in building a network of small-scale farmers, that all reforest planting foodforests.
But, work on our own land won't stop: we'll plant another field of foodforest, reforesting the last degraded areas, and, of course look after the fields we planted the last years.
We've already bought land, planted a foodforest and build up a working structure that runs smoothly.
Now, we've reached a point at that the project climate-rescue is able to grow beyond our own piece of land - without the need to buy more of it. It's an unique opportunity to reforest more land at a really low price. All the money
Help us to show that agriculture doesn't need to contribute to climate change, but can be a solution to tackle it.
First of all, it guarantees that we can continue our work in Brazil.
We're going to plant another field of foodforest on our land, and support our fellows Lucas and Camila to plant they're own.
That's gonna be the first step to build up a network of foodforest-planting small-scale farmers in the region.
We're a diverse team of people, united by the desire to do something about the climate crisis.
Polly Di and Anatol Gunkel plant trees in foodforests since our sucessfull crowdfunding in 2019.
We don't do this on our own: the farmers Gil, Severo, Eliandra and Everlado work with us since the very beginning of the project, making possible what on our own would have only been a dream.
Most importantly, a team of supporters in Germany allows us to focus on reforestation.
And, last but not least, Lucas and Camila are just waiting to join the team - let's make it possible!
