Pilot Project in the Rhein-Neckar Region
Technical Infrastructure
The KOOMUNU crowdfunding project embodies a visionary approach that is long-forgotten, one that is built on a positive, compassionate view of humanity. It serves as an amplifier for deep human connections and mutual support.
Users can communicate their requests for help (photos, videos, and other brief information about the request and themselves) within the app (e.g., hanging a TV on the wall by the end of the week). The app uses the swipe system ('swipe,' as popularized by Tinder), where users can view profile and request photos and information of other users nearby. If a user wants to help someone, they swipe the picture to the right; if not, they swipe left. If someone swipes right on my request, I see it and can make contact – a KOOMUNU match is created.
We intend to use the funds collected to have the beta version of our app developed and eventually launch and test it in the Rhein-Neckar region as a pilot (Step 1). [The second logical step will be the iterative development of the final version of the KOOMUNU app, for which we will seek investors.]
This campaign is aimed at all adult individuals who believe in the power of meaningful human connections and want to be part of a transformative movement. It's for anyone who has ever thought, 'I could really use some help recently,' and for anyone who wanted to help but didn't want to seem intrusive, so they just walked away and regretted it later. It's for anyone facing a small challenge they can hardly overcome alone and for anyone who seeks more meaning while swiping on their phone. This project is for all of them.
KOOMUNU is fundamentally suitable for all age groups and genders. Users only need minimal tech savvy and a smartphone. With our pilot, we aim to start in Mannheim (especially in the city center and Lindenhof), expand regionally, and eventually roll out nationwide. A point system regulates and motivates the use of our app. Users earn points for helping others, which they can then use when they need assistance. This 'Pay It Forward' concept with KOOMUNU points inspires users to engage in kindness and mutual support.
At the heart of the KOOMUNU crowdfunding campaign is the belief that people want to connect with each other, not remain isolated, and they want to support each other. What we aim to do with KOOMUNU is to make this happen faster and better through simple digital solutions.
It's not just about an app; it's about a movement that bridges gaps, fosters compassion, and creates a world where human connections matter more than money. By supporting this project, you become a part of something greater, something that has the potential to transform societies and enrich countless lives.
Input: Support KOOMUNU in building and launching a mobile app that playfully, quickly, and easily assesses and coordinates those in need and those willing to help.
Output: Individuals receive free assistance in their daily lives with tasks they cannot manage alone, and those willing to help can offer their assistance without pressure, driven by goodwill and karma.
Outcome: People feel less alone and helpless because they can share their needs with hope within the KOOMUNU community. On the other hand, KOOMUNU offers a meaningful way to swipe time and leads to personal, human interaction. It highlights that helping without money is more valuable and should be the norm.
Impact: Establishing a benevolent, supportive community, promoting kindness and reciprocity, enhancing mental health and well-being through the creation of meaningful connections, fostering compassion and altruism (users from various backgrounds and cultures coming together).

We introduce you to the driving forces behind KOOMUNU: Linoy Thomas, an experienced business strategist, and Dr. Lilli Leirich, a social entrepreneur and company builder. Together, they embody the spirit of openness, helpfulness, and collaborative friendship that defines KOOMUNU's mission.
LINOY THOMAS
FOUNDER OF KOOMUNU
Linoy Thomas, an experienced business strategist with a Six Sigma Black Belt, shapes KOOMUNU with his passion for growth and innovation. He is the visionary and the driving force behind the founding initiative. He earned his MBA from the University of St. Gallen before gaining significant experience in globalization and corporate strategy implementation. The idea for KOOMUNU came to Linoy as he looked out the window, where a young man was spontaneously helping an older lady carry heavy objects. But what if the helper hadn't been in the right place at the right time? Linoy no longer wanted to leave such situations to chance, and KOOMUNU was born.
DR. LILLI LEIRICH
CO-FOUNDER
Dr. Lilli Leirich began her entrepreneurial journey in 2019 with the S-HUB Accelerator Program for social enterprises in Baden-Württemberg. She firmly believes that companies can do good and make money at the same time, without exploiting people and the environment, while solving problems. Today, Lilli mentors startups as a company builder, bringing together her passion for technological and social innovations. She works across industries with companies and organizations from all sectors, creating physical hubs, workspaces, and networking spaces with S-HUB. She is now a six-time founder, using all her knowledge, experience, and idealism to create a profound and sustainably positive impact on society."
Lilli & Linoy
KOOMUNU takes on person verification, transparency, and coordination between individuals seeking help and those willing to help. This lays the necessary foundation for the encounter of these individuals in real life and for the cultivation of trust, openness, and helpfulness as strong institutions. This gives rise to a KOOMUNU community with corresponding values that are put into practice.
