What is this project all about?

"Love Till 120" is a cinematic journey that constantly moves between the memories of the three protagonists Thea (99), Dola (95), Mado (90) and the current struggles in their present lives. As Thea, Dola and Mado go about their daily lives or look back on stories from their past, we watch them with a loving and sensual eye. As we delve into the past of the three women, we slowly move from one life-shaping part to the next. The beautifully depicted photographs support our imagination. As the cinematic journey unfolds, the young women in the photographs merge with the older women on screen. We learn how they lived, loved and survived. One of these pieces and a common denominator between the three is that they are all survivors of the Holocaust. We follow Dola’s relationship with her husband Avraham. Indeed Dola's freedom depends on Avraham being well-cared for. But what happens if he deteriorates? In Mado's case, it is her adaptation as a new resident in a new country while Thea struggles with her desire to be active even if her body strikes due to her age. We go back and forth between the past and present, from one woman to another. And inevitably we feel a depressing sense of time creeping up on us: What will happen to them? And finally, what is the meaning of love at that age? As we move from one life story to the next, wondering who we will be, when and if we reach their age.

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

The first aim is to get enough funds to finish the film, as quickly as possible. The main audience of this film is women of all ages because they are the first concerned with being discriminated against because of their age. Intellectually we all understand that one day we will be old, but do we really? Most of us push that thought very far away until reality catches up with us. By experiencing these women and their lives in a very intimate manner, each person gets an opportunity to ask themselves, who they want to be when they are old. Of course, the specificity of these three women is that they are all Holocaust survivors, which corresponds to our niche audience. But, I profoundly hope that you can see the universality of this film.

Why would you support this project?

You should support us if these themes resonate with you, if you believe the topics are important, if you believe this is an important film that can be an educational tool. But you can also support us because everyone involved is a highly qualified film professional, committed to making this film for seven years. The entire team has invested their time and money because they believed in the project, and we can only hope you will do the same.

If you are part of an NGO that deals with one of the issues we speak of in the film. The concept of the educational license may be a good fit for you. You will receive a contract in which we explain the rights you have acquired by supporting us. We hope to promote education in schools and universities by widening the understanding and the experience of Shoah survivors through our protagonists in the film. We also believe the film can help fight ageism.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
