Porträt #8 Carrie McIlwain
Wir haben zwei englische Texte im Buch! So beschreibt sich eine der englischsprachigen Autor*innen, Carrie McIlwain, selbst:
As an artist I work primarily in the realm of performance. I am interested in the possibility of artistic performative research to enable other spaces of existence along-side normative structures of reality. My research has been supported at the Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz Berlin, where I completed the Dance, Context and Choreography Bachelors program. During this study I initiated various collaborative projects, with focuses on being-together, applied anarchy, byproducts of the body, ritual and the political character of the witch. Originally from California, I moved to Berlin in 2012 in search of radical hope, and having found it, it is with pleasure that I can say I live and work in Berlin. My participation in the book is a continuation of the artistic dialogue, space manifestations fostered by Alisa Tretau. I was invited by her aand Diana Thielen to perform in the project LABOUR_LAB(June 2017) hosted in a Kita during 48H Neukölln. In June 2016 I performed a collaborative work in the context of the SWEET PEEP SALON curated initiated by Alisa Tretau & Julia Laube. In April 2016 Alisa was a performer in my ritual work titled HOLY BODY. I look forward to further artistic entanglements <3
