Folk/Dream Pop Artist Johanna Amelie is producing a new EP in Berlin.
Last year, I wrote new songs while traveling and playing shows in Ghana, Greece, Morocco and New Zealand. This year I would like to independently produce and publish them. I am recording these 5 new songs with my dream band in Berlin and plan to release them in October, followed by a tour around Germany.

What is this project all about?
My team and I intend to release the new EP "One Moon" in the coming autumn. The new songs will be recorded and produced with my dream band (consisting of Alexia Peniguel, Fabian Stevens, Larissa Pesch, Johannes Wehrle) and two co-producers (Mirna Stanic and Maja Pressnell).
My team and I are working independently. That's why we're reaching out to those of you who are eager for a new Johanna Amelie record and who want to hear the new songs in concert this autumn.
The new EP is called "One Moon".
The main motif, the moon, symbolizes change, the transition between different phases of life and, in this case, is also a metaphor for the mother.
The song "Moon" is about the idea of an earth existing without its moon.
The songs deal with dreams, disasters, love and the journey through life.
"Being" is about humans and their need for inner alignment with their emotions, their self-awareness, and freedom from external constraints.
Sonically, the EP will be a rich and resonant piece of work, taking its cues from the waning and waxing of the moon.
It will be both more serious and more playful, softer and yet more urgent than its predecessor.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The goal of this project is to complete the production of the songs, to release them professionally and to tour with the band.
We want to reach out to listeners who enjoy hand-crafted music, produced by Berlin artists and who are interested in hearing new music by Johanna Amelie.

The music and rewards we offer are fun and will hopefully inspire you to help us reach our goal together. The money will go directly into the music project. For indie acts, Crowdfunding is the easiest way to implement new projects quickly and more directly, as it cuts out the middle man and strengthens the bond between the musician and music lovers.

The money will be spent on mixing and mastering, on artwork and on the release of the EP.

Johanna Amelie
During the last 5 years, Johanna Amelie has played around 300 concerts worldwide.
She has released an EP "Cloud in a Room" (2014) with indie label Solaris Empire, (distribution Broken Silence) and her debut album "Distance" (2018) with London indie label Zero Hours (distribution Rough Trade).
She worked with co-producers Gordon Raphael (Regina Spektor / The Strokes), Moritz Krämer (Die Höchste Eisenbahn ) and Matze Pröllochs (Me & My Drummer) on “Distance”.
Interviews with Radio 6 (BBC) in London, radioeins and Deutschlandradio took place in connection with the release.
