You can fly. You can travel to any place you want. You can interact with anyone you want or even crazier: smell colours and hear movement. All of those things are possible thanks to lucid dreaming, a skill everyone of us is able to develop.
With our documentary we want to introduce you to this topic and motivate you to try it yourself. In order to do so we invited three known lucid dreamers who are going to tell us their adventures and experiences from lucid dreaming. It is their stories we will visualise with fantastic motion pictures and visual effects.
Our interviewees:
Dr Clare Johnson
Author and Scientist
2007 she got her PhD about Lucid Dreaming at Leeds university and since then she writes books and novels about Lucid Dreaming and therefore influences the scene greatly. All about her on: http://www.deepluciddreaming.com.
Simon Rausch
Author of 'Oneironaut - Das Klartraum-Praxishandbuch'
He's not just a graphics designer but also a successful writer (://www.klartraumhandbuch.de/). In addition, he started websites for lucid dreamer (http://kt-forum.de) and made Lucid Dreaming accessible for anyone thanks to his books and advices!
Melanie Schädlich
Scientist at University Heidelberg
Melanie Schädlich degreed at University Heidelberg and is currently writing her thesis about movement learning while lucid dreaming. Thanks to her knowledge she's the perfect story teller.
This film is for everyone who wants to dive into a world of fascinating stories and beautiful sceneries. It's for anyone who never has had a lucid dream. We are going to give you all the information you need to become a lucid dreamer. It's for anyone who already lucid dreams. We are going to tell you stories that will inspire you. Promise!
We are a team of students who produce this documentary for university. All of us are fascinated by the topic lucid dreaming by now and thereby motivated to put all necessary effort in this project to make it come true. We promise that every cent given to this cause will be worth it and will be used to make it as best as possible!
We already filmed the interviews. Next step is to visualise them. For doing so we need equipment, resources, actors, motives, sets, food and so on. The more money we will have the crazier we can get. (Let's fly to the Amazonas to get some nice jungle feeling?)
The team consists of 12 students from the University of Media, Stuttgart. We're aiming to produce a visual effects documentary ready to be seen in cinemas. Everything will be planned and executed by us, supported from professors and Jörn Großhans / Mackevison, who currently does VFX for 'Game of Thrones'. Just saying ;-)
