At 6500, my work and the project in Kufunda really take off! From then on, the Peace Explorers grow: new collaborations begin, other schools are already waiting and a handbook is created. The journey continues: towards peace - thanks to your contribution!
It is about learning and living peace! It is about children and their desire for peace. It is about providing spaces where they can explore this desire, where they find their own solutions and are free to dream of a peaceful world - these are the Peace Explorers.
Over the years I have developed a peace curriculum to support these processes. It is now implemented in Germany and Zimbabwe: in person and online.
In the project we allow us to be guided by our questions and our curiosity:
What is when there is peace - everywhere? What does the world look like and what can we do to get there? We are expanding our knowledge, learning from international peace work and from each other and, above all, invite the knowing that it's up to us how life unfolds and that we are co-creating this world.
The goal of the project is to make space for peace! To establish spaces where peace can be lived, practised and where it can grow. In Kufunda we do this through integrating peace work in the school curriculum und make it part of a learning routine. This ongoing spaces support children in their ability to live peace and to enable teachers to accompany them on their path. The long term goal? The Peace Explorers expand to other projects, schools and groups in the world. I want to create a network for children, where they can exchange their ideas, beyond borders, religion, money - a peace-web that spans the world and is held by people who walk the path of peace.
You want Peace? Me too! You don't know how it is going to happen? Me neither!
BUT: I know it starts with me, with you, within all of us. This is why I founded the Peace Explorer as in this program we dare to try, to learn, to explore, to dream and to live peace! And I invite you to join!
I encourage you to be part of this Journey to Peace. Peace needs community and people who support each other. And you can support the Peace Explorer in Kufunda - and beyond. You can become an active part of a vibrant community. You support others and you will receive deep inspiration for your own life - through short inspirations I will send you regularly. It is an invitation to deepen your own peace practice and, above all, to built a connection: to Zimbabwe, another part of our world.
The Peace Explorer's are real, and already alive. We are waiting for you: be a part of the journey!
The first 6500 Euro will be used exclusively for the work in Kufunda
This includes:
-finally having stable access to internet,
-setting up a fund for school fees so that kids who can't afford to pay and are not dropping out of school
-travel costs and materials for an intensive week including teacher training in January 2025
-stationary and materials for creative projects
- printing the handbook to make the curriculum and all the exercises accessible for Kunfunda and other projects to come
And then... and with more every cent beyond the Peace Explorers will grow. New schools and groups of children in new places are waiting. The Peace Explorers will for sure go to Israel/Palestine and Indonesia and I hope far beyond... the network needs to be strengthened, multipliers trained and who knows... what if, children from Zimbabwe travel to another place and discuss peace... what, if..
It's me, Anne. I am the founder of the project and am also implementing the curriculum. And of course I am not alone: my cooperation partner in Germany is the Graf-Ludwig Community School in Warndt and in Zimbabwe the Kufunda Village School in Kufunda Village. And most importantly there are wonderful people behind all those initiatives. People that are already involved in and supporting the project and its path, thats amazing. Its through those people and the support they offer that the Peace Exploreres can grow.
