For the professional Mixing & Mastering of the songs.
Hi, I'm Maria and my next album is called "Postcard Picture". With this crowdfunding you can support an important part of the production chain of this album, because the money will flow into the professional mixing and mastering of the music.
The ten songs on the album are like postcards telling of the places where I have lived to date: my hometown of Zeuthen near Berlin, the beautiful Mainz on the Rhine, Stuttgart in the Ländle, Lisbon in Portugal, Ithaca in New York and Haarlem near Amsterdam.

The many stages that an album has to go through from the first written word to the CD release require not only my own time and passion but also a good financial cushion. I really want to put some of these production steps in the hands of outside professionals so that the music I've invested so much time and love into can be released with the sound quality you expect in today's music market and have the most fun for everyone when listening. I would therefore like to use your crowdfunding contribution primarily for the professional mixing and mastering of my songs. You can find out why this production step is so important below.
Of course I would like to thank you for your support and give something back. Among the "Dankeschöns" you will find, for example, the finished CD, online singing lessons with me or even a solo concert in your living room at home.
BUT: With your contribution you not only support my heart project, but also the “Post mit Herz” campaign, because for every supporter of this crowdfunding, I will write a very personal Christmas postcard to a resident of a social institution would otherwise be alone at Christmas.
You can find out more about this wonderful campaign here https://postmitherz.org/.
I would be incredibly happy about your support for “Postcard Picture” because it will make it much easier for me to carry out this project than without you and because it means a few more people will receive personal Christmas mail at Christmas.
Thanks a lot!
My music is for everyone who:
* appreciates lyrics with a deeper meaning
* loves handmade pop
* likes to listen to jazz
* celebrates genre-crossing music
I am a freelance musician, singer and songwriter. Behind each of my songs there is a story that I encountered in different ways. The lyrics are the heart of my music and I hope that when you listen to the songs you can immerse yourself in the stories. My greatest wish is to be able to reach people, inspire them or even spark new ideas or perspectives.
With your contribution you can help me to do this in a much more targeted manner, as the money that I would have used for mixing and mastering, for example, can flow into the organization of concerts or public relations, through which a lot more more people can get to know my music.
The money will be used for the post production of mixing and mastering.
Since "Mixing & Mastering" are rather abstract words for many people, I would like to use the texts from jensmichalis.com and delamar.de to briefly explain why these steps are so important for a musical end product:
"In music production, mixing and mastering are the two processes that take place after recording (post production). Both are essential for creating songs at a professional level and it is important to know that each process presupposes the other.
The aim of mixing is to combine the individual tracks of all instruments into a homogeneous overall picture. He adjusts the volume of the instruments to match each other. He distributes the instruments in a stereo panorama. He edits the frequency response of the individual tracks so that the individual instruments overlap each other as little as possible. He manipulates the dynamics of the instruments. It creates a three-dimensional space through the use of reverb effects and delays. The mixing engineer primarily works out the emotions of a song and the artist's vision and in his role can have a very strong influence on the final sound of the music track. It is therefore advantageous to choose a mixing engineer whose vision and sound concept of the music matches and/or complements that of the artist.
Mastering is used to ensure that a song sounds good on as many playback devices as possible and in comparison to other productions in the respective music genre. From the hi-fi system to the earpods. When mastering an album, the mastering engineer also ensures that the songs are balanced in relation to each other. So that all songs have a similar volume, a similar frequency response and a relatively similar dynamic."
I'm very happy that my fellow musicians Brian and Daniel support the ideas that I bring to the rehearsal room. Together with them, on the double bass and piano, the music comes to life and develops from a sketch to a finished postcard that you can send...
After the release, the three of us will also play the concerts with our trio where the album will be available, among other things.
