We are an artist community sharing a studio space in Berlin Neukölln. The effects of the "corona crisis" threaten our existence ... and very acute our creative space. Two years ago we started to transform a forgotten dance hall from the 1920s into a community studio. The premises formerly known as the "splendid hall" were closed for more than 10 years. We have rebuilt the Prachtaal Studio with a lot of work and high financial costs for us ... and are now very afraid to lose our studio space.

What is this project all about?
We are an artist community that have turned a forgotten historical place into a sharted studio space. Our studio is at risk because we cannot finance the renovation measures currently being carried out that were officially ordered. Due to the corona virus and the associated restrictions, we now have hardly any income and fear the worst. To prevent this, we ask you for your support.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The goal is to be able to use these revenues to pay for the last renovations and the associated fire protection measures. This would give us the well-deserved enjoyment of using our creative space as we dreamed of. With your financial support, we could also cover ongoing costs until the end of April.
Why would you support this project?
Please support this project so that our creative community can keep its creative space. We brought the splendor hall back to life with a lot of sweat after 10 years. We invested almost 2 years to rebuild the space according to our ideas. We are nearing completion of all official measures and are now afraid of losing the studio that we have lovingly redesigned.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
The money will be used for the last necessary renovation measures and for the associated fire protection concept and its acceptance by the building authority. In addition, ongoing costs such as rent, loan repayments, insurance, electricity and water must also be covered.
