Walls become paths, obstacles become possibilities!

DIE HALLE is much more than just a Parkour gym and a sports facility: It is a meeting place, a space of possibilities and a home for an ever growing, colorful and familiar community.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, this unique place and our wonderful community are in great danger! We are very experienced with obstacles, but the restrictions and lockdowns present us with completely new and great challenges. The first lockdown, the closing of DIE HALLE during the renovation measures and the lower capacities due to the hygiene measures hit us hard despite government aid - now we are in the second lockdown and once again we are dependent on every single one of you.

In DIE HALLE there are not only courses, school sports, events and much more, but also a wide variety of social and integrative projects. In order to enable as many people as possible - regardless of origin, religion or gender - to meet here, do sports together and to participate in our community, low-threshold access is very important to us. This is why we are a base association for "Integration through sports" and were even awarded the Golden Star of Sports 2019 for our commitment!

Help us survive the Corona pandemic and maintain this wonderful community & opportunity space! DIE HALLE for everyone!

Our target group are small and big children from 5-99 years. The socially and culturally very diverse community comes not only from the entire Hamburg city area, but from all over Germany and far beyond. In courses, free training sessions and community events, children, teenagers and adults meet as equals and at eye level. And to make sure that everyone can participate, there are many ways that make participation possible for those who otherwise could not afford it.

With DIE HALLE, with our courses, trainings and events and above all with our social & integrative projects, we do not only want to bring people together, but also have a lasting effect on body, self and environment awareness. We not only give Parkour and Freerunning a home, but also create urgently needed spaces for many other forms of movement and sports. It is an affair of the heart for us to create opportunities for mutual exchange and getting to know each other through sports.

In our trainings and programs, Parkour - free of rules and conventions - teaches a healthy and respectful way of dealing with oneself and others and conveys security and self-confidence. The recognition and support within the community conveys security and self-confidence. In the confrontation with physical obstacles, bodily and mental boundaries are also individually and carefully explored and overcome.

The current situation is very serious and DIE HALLE is acutely threatened in its existence. The first lockdown and a reduced capacity due to the subsequent hygiene measures have hit us hard despite government aid. With the second lockdown in place, DIE HALLE is threatened in its existence. Now, we are dependent on your help and support!

The operation of a Parkour facility needs a lot of resources. Salaries, rents and bills have to be paid, but our urgently needed revenues are missing to a large extent or even completely. In spite of governmental aid and short-time work, more and more debts accumulate, which are a heavy burden and threaten the existence of DIE HALLE even after the end of the lockdown and further restrictions.

DIE HALLE was and is a community project and lives from the great commitment of our club members, our community and our friends. From the first concept, the founding of the association in 2014 to the opening of DIE HALLE in August 2017, the project and the Parkour Creation e.V. were developed completely voluntarily and completely for free.

Even today, the operation of the gym and the implementation of our projects is only possible through the commitment of volunteers and community helpers, the self-sacrifice of our team and the support through donations and grants. Our very idealistically designed project is still young and does not yet have reserves that could help us to survive the current situation.

Now everyone counts! It is not only important to maintain DIE HALLE as a place of encounter, but also to save our unique team through the pandemic, so that DIE HALLE and our community will remain a permanent feature in the world's most beautiful city!

The first funding target compensates for the losses incurred from the current lockdown.With the achievement of the 2nd funding target we have a chance to also compensate the losses in sales after the lockdown and to secure the future of DIE HALLE, our unique team and our community in Hamburg in the long term.
