Unlike most clubs, we are quite dependent on seasonal factors. After the winter, our cash flows are depleted and we are dependent on the concerts, bookshop and the Biergarten to generate much-needed cash flows. A disastrous start of the season will mean 0 cash flows to operate in summer this year and worse, 0 cash flows to navigate through next winter. It means that we won't be able to survive through next winter.

We need your support to continue paying for the rent, not to lay off our staff and other high fixed costs. Urban Spree reinvests a lot in the culture it defends. We are not in nature a commercial operation although we operate along commercial lines, only to defend our integrity and independence.

Over the 8 years of our existence, we believed that Urban Spree is defending a certain vision of culture: independent, open, intelligent, with a strong and open curation in music, art and craft. We support underground art cultures, we fund artist residencies and have a police of free entry.

Berlin is changing fast and we believed that Urban Spree is an integral part of what makes the city valuable for its inhabitants and visitors alike.
