We want to grow organic food and share a sustainable self sufficient lifestyle with others.
We will create a self-sufficient community farm, which will demonstrate a sustainable way of life in harmony with nature and share this lifestyle with others . In a Permaculture Garden and a Food Forest, organic food will be grown in a way that protects the climate while providing living space for insects and other wildlife. The community site will share the knowledge of a sustainable, self-sufficient way of life and in addition, provide shelter to animals in need.

What is this project all about?
The project is about setting an example of sustainable living and inspiring others to go in the same direction.
We want to create a place that teaches people how to take care of their needs in harmony with nature.
This includes creating biodiverse ecosystems, which will provide food security despite upcoming climate extremes and serve as habitat for all kinds of wildlife.
It is about knowing and appreciating our food - establishing a connection with it and the earth.
It's about exploring community life, locally and through social media.
We want to build connections that can be used as resources for a more sustainable lifestyle and thus help to reduce our negative impacts on this planet bit by bit.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
We would like to create a place where people can learn how to provide for their needs without harming nature.
We want to plant as many trees as possible to help fight climate change and provide habitat for animals and other wildlife.
A community site will be created that welcomes people who want to address these issues.
We also want to share our journey towards sustainability through social media to reach more people and have a bigger impact.
The project is for everyone who wants to experience and/or support this alternative sustainable lifestyle.

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

If the funding is successful, the money, along with our own savings, will help to buy a suitable piece of land.
It is not yet clear where we will buy the land for the project.
It all depends on what is available to us and where we will find the most suitable property at an affordable price.

With 50'000€ we we could buy a much bigger land, opening the opportunity to create a bigger community site, giving shelter to more animals, providing for more organic food and growing even more trees! :)

Who are the people behind the project?
We are Lenny (21) and Freja (20).
We met while doing activism against coal mining and the cutting down of an old forest in Germany. Since then we have both been travelling, volunteering in different sustainable/helping projects including permaculture farms and a refugee camp in Greece.
Together we have been living very minimalistic and eating almost entirely from supermarket leftovers (dumpster diving) and restrained ourselves from buying new things like clothes and other products.
Throughout the experiences we made on our journey we got inspired to start our own project up - and now we are beginning with Sprouting Seeds! :)
We both share the passion for sustainable farming and self sufficiency.
Lots of our love lies towards this earth and climate change is pushing us to take action.
We want to contribute towards the movement of bringing power to the people - We are all responsible in shaping our lives and the ones of our children.
We want to take destiny into our own hands and work towards a better world.
