American Showdown 8

The American action film transported us into a world of its own, which is what has driven us to create American Showdown.
When we started in 1995, out of fun and passion to make movies after school, no one would have guessed that from our project, our own kind of action film schooling would arise.
There are 7 parts so far. To shoot 9 parts has always been our dream.
American Showdown 8, picks up 14 years after our last joint work and is meant to feature our current skills as short film producers and then give birth to a full length action film.
American Showdown 8, like in real life, has simple characters evolving into real players.
The chase for the Briefcase (Follow the Briefcase!!!), with our female lead Julia Mahlke has become more complex and emotionally tricky. The action is not only extended to a kidnapping, but transforms our former silent visual structure with peppered dialogue.
A real first for the American Showdown series. Yes, have no doubt, we parody, satirize, exaggerate and play as ever in a deliberately provocative way the action genre.

We want to shoot the 8th episode of our iconic and action-packed series American Showdown with the ambitious aim to subsequently provide a bombastic pilot which does not fall short of the Hollywood blockbuster and is in no way inferior – the difference being that it is an authentic born in Berlin product!
And that means real sexy!

Well, quite clearly: to jointly pave the way for us to lift the German action cinema to a whole new level and finally produce a charming blockbuster “Made in Berlin “!
We are - like our film project – originals and want to stay authentic. Making the quick buck is not our thing!
That's why we need your support, because with conventional financing our project could not be put together.
With Crowdfunding we want to create the financial basis in order to pursue our original idea. If you want to be part of this final step, if you want to see that it is possible to realize one’s own dreams and visions, then helps us make the train roll again and stay true and above all independent. Anything that can be collected on the crowdfunding campaign flows entirely back into the filming and production of our short film. In the first 3 weeks in May our shooting starts with the "Heide Express". But even if the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Verkehrsfreunde Lüneburg e.V." allows us to shoot on their railway property, there will be costs to make the train move through the Heide, such as Diesel fuel, as well as royalties due for using the tracks of Deutsche Bahn, which are quite substantial. We need basic funding for equipment, money for travel costs and to provide for free short film showings to as many people as possible.
