What is this project all about?

If swallowing becomes a difficutly, it's a serious issue!

Swallowing disorder is a typical secondary diagnosis of stroke and traumatic brain injury, but also occurs in Parkinson's and multiple sclerosis. What is the project goal and who is the project for?

Unfortunately, the subject of swallowing disorders is not yet socially accepted and often unrecognized. Here we want to enlighten and help! We invite everyone to improve the quality of care or therapy .

Our goals with sippa:

Acceptance by normality

The focus of sippa's product development and design is the combination of ergonomics and design. From the outside, sippa can hardly be recognized as an aid. It has the shape and color of an ordinary drinkingMehr anzeigen

Why would you support this project?

It is important for us, in addition to the realization of sippa and thus a solution for many people, who have problems with everyday drinking, also to focus the attention on those people who need our help.

Therefore we want to say with our campaign: Listen, if your grandfather, your friends or relatives conspicuously clear your throat or cough after drinking or eating . Because especially people in old age or in weaker health status can get serious probleMehr anzeigen

How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?

So far, we have already managed to bring sippa in a version for the clinic on the market. In order to make sippa available in this version for long-term use, we need your support.

With the crowdfunding campaign we want to achieve that the new sippa version can be realized. For this the production has to be finished. In addition, the technical documentation necessary for a medical device must be completed. A lot of work has already been done from our side, Mehr anzeigen

Who are the people behind the project?

We are iuvas, a medical technology start-up from Munich.

We have set ourselves the mission of optimizing processes and products in clinical and nursing everyday life.

With Sinan's background in nursing and David, Moritz and Jonas as engineers, we want to solve current problems in order to create better conditions for people in need of care. Directly with tools or indirectly by improving care processes.
