Sven Pfennig

Sven Pfennig left us, the artistic and cultural association "Kulturforum Cottbus eV" a huge number of incredible, partly unpublished images and sculptures. Entrusted with the task to manage this estate in the future, we look forward to a great challenge and responsibility.

The works of art that we love and appreciate will be archived appropriately in the future, insured and also shown to people in future exhibitions, which could not yet see. After the StartNext campaign, a exhibition at Galerie Fango shows selected works from his entire creative life. On this occasion, an art book including through volunteer support, professionally digitized images and texts on the life and work of the artist.

Sven Pfennig was a very media shy and humble artist who throughout his life not found the recognition he deserved in our opinion. Perhaps one of the last of its kind. We are keen that his work and he as a human being will not be forgotten. We can only do this through the financial support of the people to whom this art means something, and who think that our projects is supportive worth.

First, a picture book will be printed. In addition, collected funds will be invested in archive material such as films, boxes, protective & cushioning materials etc..
If money is left over, this should serve for the realization of future exhibitions (transport, insurance, advertising).
