This is about you. And me. You. Us. All. Life. And the power - of water. Viva con Agua. This is more than just the story of little Taban on his daily walk to the well. The path of the Somalian boy along a protective wall made of stones symbolizes his victory over drought and thirst. Movement as encounter. A film for health and peace. About the pure desire for life! What is this project all about?

Donation for donations. A film for more.
As a social project, we are using this film to give the organization Viva con Agua more attention and support for its worldwide commitment in the future.

Faster. Further. Higher. For many, this means the urge and the development towards something positive. But what if the direction changes? When we suddenly run faster, further, higher, jump, flee - from terror. In search of clean water. When flight and fear, thirst and death determine our thinking, burden our soul?
When we experience, survive and overcome this. When we know what it means to experience safety, protection and peace again through courage and support.
Then life is different. And then it makes a difference...

...Taban tells us exactly this story.
About the path of a little boy who runs alongside a protective wall with two empty water canisters under his arm.
But today he is no longer running away. He runs proudly, happily, full of security and strength, and no longer let us show his past of escape.
In this film we would like to express the newly won reality for this boy. The state of enjoying life and living in safety.
In doing so, we do not lose ourselves in the past of Tabans story, but focus on the positive force that has conquered everything else.
This is what the film will deal with.

We take the violence completely out of focus and thus express the overwhelming positive feelings, which are completely in contrast to Taban's dramatic story.
Mild metaphorical images should be completely sufficient as an indirect representation of violence.
A lively and positive energy grips and inspires the viewer.

Director, Richard Schmidt:
"It is important for me to give the viewer an impulse. A reason why I show exactly this boy, this wall and this environment. Why I didn't choose a boy in an optimal living environment but want to show impressions that broaden one's horizon.
A positive impulse through positive energy. Laughter. Joy. Fun. Safety. Protection. Inspiration instead of sympathy. And thus a deliberate contrast to the usual social spots, which tend to serve negative emotional patterns in this context.
We want more. Change. Moving. That's what Viva con Agua stands for. Everywhere where the needs for safety, health, peace and protection are most lacking.
Let's make a difference together!"

What is the project goal and who is the project for?

As I said, this is about you and me. About what moves us. Every day. Life and the power of water. Because far too many people around the world are still denied access to this basic need. And because it deserves attention.
So the more people who see this film and are inspired by the fate and happiness of little Taban, the better. Because thirst and drought mean responsibility and obligation. For each of us.
We are happy about every person we can reach with this great project and who supports us in making the vision of the aid organization Viva con Aqua come true.
Water for All. All for water!
