This DVD will be our first release with a label and features three very different works by Georg Philipp Telemann. We recorded those during the last two years in our concert series in Bremen. Part of the videos have already been released (you can find them here and here ), part of them will only be available on this DVD. All of the material will be re-engineered for highest possible sound and image quality.
Our project is for all
We’re completely fascinated by Telemann’s music for its sheer unbelievable richness of colours. His works contain so many different styles, ingenious ideas and also funny moments. This is a joy for us to play and also the audience of our concerts is amazed by the vibrancy of his style. In the past we therefore received many requests for a production focusing on Telemann.
This is why we now – with your most appreciated support – would love to produce our first Live-DVD, bringing Telemann to your living room.
With your support we can hand the pre-produced material to our partners Tobias Hentze and our Bremen-based label Arcantus and take the next step to postproduction. This contains post-editing of sound and image, graphic work, pressing and all the preparations for the subsequent distribution.
4% are payed as usual transaction fee, another 3% go to Startnext as our contribution.
Thanks so much to everybody for your support!!
We are the Bremer Barockorchester and have been playing in this formation for about 2,5 years. Our ensemble members hail from countries such as Colmbia, Portugal, Italy, Japan, Estonia, Australia, Chile, France, Germany or Hungary. We all are professional freelance musicians specializing in historical performance practice. The artistic director is colombian cellist Néstor Fabián Cortés Garzón. In our concerts we want to convey our fascination for the music of the Baroque era to show the audience that “Early” music is completely up-tp-date and alive.
