Our second studio album - the follow-up to our debut "On the Wing" - needs your support.
We - that is Johannes and Sebastian - have been touring as The Hoodie Crows since 2014. Our 2016 debut album "On the Wing" has delighted folk lovers from around the globe so it is time for a follow-up. We intend to collect enough funds to finance the recording and production of our second album "Two in the Bush". With your support we want to take our typical Hoodie Crows sound and turn it up to eleven.

What is this project all about?
We hope to enrich the world with another great celtic folk record. ;) We have been touring as a duo since 2014 and are eager to record new material for our second album, climbing to the highest reaches of Mount Folk...or at least get to the second base camp.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
The goal of this project is to produce the second album by German based folk duo The Hoodie Crows which will be called "Two in the Bush". We intend to record 11 tracks for the album at least five of which will be originals. It is aimed at all those who love hand-made music both traditional and original.
Why would you support this project?
Because supporting small artists has become ever more important. Because the world needs more music. Because together we can create something unique, off the beaten track of mainstream music. So if you love folk music from the Scottish and Irish tradition (as well as other English speaking countries) and originals in the same vein, please consider supporting this project. We promise to do our best to deliver an album that even surpasses our debut.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
Most of the money will be used to pay for the studio sessions and mixing/mastering of the album. We'll return to the No-Limits studio in Reiskirchen because Jürgen Zimmer's work was so vital to the sound of "On the Wing". The rest of the money will be used to pay for the production of the perks and to paying guest musicians and other helpers.
Who are the people behind the project?
Mainly, The Hoodie Crows, of course:
Sebastian Barwinek: vocals, mandola, bouzuouki, guitar, bodhrán, harmonica, mandolin
Johannes Single: vocals, guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin
We are joined by a host of great guest musicians (who will be revealed in due time) in recording with our dear friend Jürgen Zimmer. Jürgen will also help producing the album. The cover will be drawn by our dear friend Danjal Waziri, photo and video material is courtesy of our equally dear friend Claus Jahn and the last good friend on the core team is Rüdiger Reinhardt who will design the final artwork.
