Johannes "Joe" Single and Sebastian Barwinek have been touring extensively with their different bands (e.g. "The McMontos" and "Green Highland"), being an active part of the German folk circuit. Two years ago, they decided to play as a duo act and now they want to produce the very first CD with this new brainchild of theirs. A vibrant mix of songs and tunes is just waiting to see the light of day -- with your support.

What is this project all about?
This project is all about producing the first album of celtic folk duo "The Hoodie Crows" which will be called "On the Wing". Johannes Single and Sebastian Barwinek have been touring together for more than two years and founded this new project in 2014. The CD will contain a mixture of songs and tunes both traditional and original, written by the Crows themselves and by other accomplished songwriters.
What is the project goal and who is the project for?
We aim at world dominion and freeing mankind from the yoke of bad music...for now we are content with producing our debut album, though -- babysteps! This project is for anyone who is interested in celtic folk music and/or supporting independent artists. If you're just looking for a place to spend your large amounts of spare cash, we're happy to help you out as well, of course!
Why would you support this project?
In addition to the Crows' never-ending gratitutde, you can get various rewards for your support. Of course, you can also enjoy the warm glow that comes with supporting independent artists...it has never been easier to become a patron of the arts.
How will we use the money if the project is successfully funded?
Most of the money will be used to pay for the amazing "No Limits Studio" of Jürgen Zimmer (http://www.tonstudio-z.de/) where Sebastian has already recorded some demos last year. Additionally, we will need the funds to pay for mixing, mastering, creating the artwork and actually pressing the CDs themselves. What is left after that will be used to produce and ship your perks. If we do not reach our goal you will, of course, get your money back.
Who are the people behind the project?
Johannes Single and Sebastian Barwinek are both well known players on the German folk circuit and have been playing folk music for many years. Having produced various CDs with their respective bands, both have ample experience in what is needed to make a great album. They are determined to deliver their best record yet, taking their music to new heights. Two other people are also essential for this project, namely Jürgen Zimmer who will not only engineer the recording sessions but also mix and master the album, and Danjal Waziri who will provide us with the great artwork for the album cover.

7/28/15 - The dates for the release concerts have been...
The dates for the release concerts have been set! We will play in Büdingen on the 9th of January 2016 (we will announce the location in due time) and at Club Kuckucksei in Nürtingen on the 23rd of January 2016. Bear in mind that you will get the tickets at this cheap price during this campaign only. The whisky tastings will be held on the Fridays prior to the concerts. We hope this motivates some of you to buy the respective rewards! =)
