With the 3000 Euros we will finance the recording, mixing, mastering, CD artwork as well as rent for the sound studio.
During the first two years of our musical career playing countless Buskers- and Ukulele- festivals we created songs that come straight from our hearts and that each tell their individual story. We now want to capture these stories. To do so, we want to record our debut album containing our original instrumental songs that are performed solely on the Ukulele.
While playing at Ukulele-festivals and busking in the streets we were often asked for CDs. Our debut album is highly anticipated and we now want to not only lay the foundation for a successful future in music but also offer the people that are interested in our music the opportunity to purchase a CD containing our original songs. The Ukulele family is constantly growing and is a colourful and diverse community, so our targeted audience isn’t of a specific age range or gender.
The Ukulele still is a niche instrument that is constantly underestimated and we want to contribute our part to change that. In Germany there is no other music duo similar to us and we are convinced that now is the right time to release an album. Due to Larissa still being a student and Andi just now starting to be self-employed we are not able to finance this project without your help.
For that reason we created a few different rewards that you are very welcome to book on this site. Purchasing any of the rewards means that you will get something in return for your generous donation. Some of the packages are limited while some others aren’t. For example you are able to purchase our new album for 15 Euros!
We will be using the money to pay for the recording, mixing and mastering of the album. The album will be recorded in a secluded house in a mobile sound studio.
The proceeds of the crowdfunding will also go towards paying the GEMA (Society for Musical Performing and Mechanical Reproduction Rights), pressing the CDs and the CD design. In addition to this we will need your support to pay for the significant transportation and fuel costs that come with Andi and I living 400 km apart from each other..
The Project “First album recording” from The Ukuleleaves consist only of Larissa and Andreas.
Larissa is studying orthopedagogy in Freiburg while Andreas is a Ukulele teacher in Bamberg. The two of us have first played together in 2018 and decided to share our love for the Ukulele with the world.
The crowdfunding video was shot and cut by the two of us. The background music in the video is an original song of ours that will also be on the new album. We had photographic support by Lisa Oeffner (LOXE Photos) who did a wonderful photoshoot with us.
Also a big thank you to Marius Monninger, who helped and supported us with the english language and the translation.
